I was a bit disappointed in this book. The pages that were shown looked good and they are. The only thing about it that I don't like is that by the time they went through the "shrinking" process to fit in the book, the images were so tiny that they don't really allow you to do your best work as far as shading is concerned. I had to use Microns and Stabilo pens for the tiny little things I would not buy again.

I was a bit underwhelmed with this item....I cannot differentiate where one part of an illustration begins or ends. Also, I am not fond of how all of the images run off the edges of the paper and into the spine…making for difficult colouring. On the plus side it is printed on very nice paper and contains over 90 pages.

The media could not be loaded.    The designs in this book are very tropical in nature. There are exotic birds, animals, fish, and flora. I am very impressed by the beauty of these hand-drawn designs and look forward to many hours of coloring enjoyment with the book. This book calls for good eyesight and a steady hand as many of the designs include small and intricate detailsThe designs are printed on both sides of heavyweight white paper that is not perforated. The book is well made with a lovely fold out cover where both the outer and inner parts of the cover can be colored, too. I counted more than 60 designs many of which are two page designs. The designs merge into the binding and some of the two page designs do not line up perfectly when I flatten the book. The binding is sewn rather than glued, so you can remove the pages with a few snips of thread every few pages. I would not attempt to cut pages out of this book as you will certainly cut away some portions of the designs on both the front and back of the page. For most of the two page designs, I can treat them as single page designs if I choose to do so as their shared elements are so insignificant.My markers had a mixed result when it came to coloring in this book. The only ones that consistently did not leak through were my Staedler triplus fineliners. My Tombows dual end brush did not leak when I used the brush end but did with the marker end. All other markers – both water and alcohol-based leaked through. My gel pens did not leak through but needed extra drying time. My coloring pencils all worked well. I would test my markers before using them in this book to be sure that a specific color does not leak through and ruin the design on the back on the page.I was provided a free sample of this coloring book for test and review purposes.

This is a great gift for someone who loves to color. Recently, I have got more into zentangling and coloring as it is a stress reliever, and it really focuses my mind away from the pressures of every day into creating something beautiful. It's a great way to capture the lost joy of coloring from childhood and also have the pleasure of creating your very own artwork. Choosing colors and filling in sections can be a really joyful task that becomes almost meditative as one focuses simply on the task at hand. Somehow filling in neat patterns always organizes my mind, and the anger and stress melts away leaving a calmer me.I was excited to color in this book. This book is full of flora and fauna and beautiful birds like peacocks and humming birds. It is just as well illustrated as some of the more popular books like Secret Garden and the Enchanted Forest. The quality of pages is thick and the illustrations are very detailed. These illustrations of 'paradise' lend themselves to much more brighter color mixes than simple foliage, and it's fun to color in this book. You can color in it with pencil colors or you can also use gel markers, Stabilo pens, or even water colors with no bleed to the other side.The only negative I can see is that the illustrations are almost too detailed and may trouble someone with poor vision as the coloring can get very detailed. For someone who's wanted to do really beautiful coloring rather than just filling in large sections with color, they will enjoy this book as you can create a lot of variety with different colors in the detailed artwork available in this book.[Received a sample book to test and review]
