When You Can't Use Under-The-Table Motors
The Peco side mounted turnout motor is just the thing when you can't use the PL-10 under the table motor. I have 2 Peco turnouts above a tunnel and cannot use the standard PL-10 because it would block the tunnel. The Side mounted PL-11 is the nearly perfect solution. It will be necessary to camouflage the motor, but that is a trivial problem. This motor works with both HO and N scale layouts. The PL-10 and PL-11 are the only turnout motors that will work with Peco turnouts because of the spring tension in Peco's product.

Too Weak To Work PECO Turnout
Got it all hocked up. Made little pad on my layout. Hit the switch and motor could not make the switch slide to other track. PECO turnout spring was stronger than this little motor. Turnout spring is necessary for proper electrical connection so I don't recommend cutting the little leaf spring on the turnout.

Four Stars
Works ok on PECO turnouts

Hard to align pin from underneath layout.
Like the Atlas better because the motor comes attached to. Switch. Having difficulty getting pin to line up. My board is 3/4” thick with cork track mounts and I am having a hard time attaching the motor under the deck so the pin alignment is right.

height problem and adaptable
It works for the most part but I found that the steps on some of my longer locomotives tend to hit the hump when going thru the curved part of the turnout. I purchased it to use with a Bachmann ez trach manual switch to convert it to remote as it appeared to be what I could use the most readily. I made some minor modification and found that if I mounted it upside down I was able to eliminate the height problem and that it worked well.
