Wahl Professional Animal KM10 2-Speed Brushless Motor Pet, Dog, and Horse Clipper Kit - Berry

I can’t say enough good things about this trimmer. We bought a poodle, but didn’t want to spend over $1,000 per year on hair cuts, so we researched trimmers. I’ve always been a fan of Wahl products (I supervised the barbershops in a large prison) so I have great faith in them. All the reviews I read on the KM10 were great. It’s very easy to use, it’s way more quiet than I expected. Most of my experience with animal trimmers has been the old style sunbeam sheep shears. Turns out trimming a dog is similar to trimming a sheep. Once the dog realized he could see better when I trimmed around his eyes, he’s much easier to trim. We do little bits every other week and he looks good all the time. The trimmer has already paid for itself. My husband even got it out one day when I wasn’t home and used it on himself. He says it works way better than the wahl clippers I use on his hair.

I have been through numerous trimmers and sheep shears even to tame rescued poodles with very thick mats in their hair. Nothing would last long and cut through them without snagging or stopping part way through. These trimmers changed my life. The power behind it with the brushless motor helped keep it cooler longer. I got what I paid for in this trimmer. Very good value for the price. Functions amazingly well and the cord is long enough to not get all in your way.

I have Yorkies and have been grooming them myself all the time. I've been using a Wahl made for barbers but is not really so easy to use it especially with my cotton coated Yorkshire Terriers. I've been always struggling. I decided to invest on this...a more expensive one but is such a joy to use. It goes through their hair so much easier. Of course I have to prepare them prior to clipping with some brushing and combing. I would recommend this and I told myself I should have invested on this a long time ago.

Overall a good clipper if your dog is not matted. My Bischon has a coat like wool and I foolishly allowed her legs to get matted. These clippers made no progress through them at all. With no mats…works great.

Minimal noise and doesn’t heat up quickly. It’s a smooth cut. My dog is not fearful due to noise level is low. I’m not professional groomer

I dont know what is wrong with this set of clippers because our dog groomer’s work perfectly, but ours just barely skims the top of the dogs’ hair even with no guard on the top…and we have to push very hard to even get the clippers to move along the dog’s back. It does not cut the dogs’ hair at all…only thins it out a little bit, but their hair actually stays very long. Our groomer’s clippers (the exact same ones) work beautifully…but NOT THESE.

Love these clippers, light weight & easy to use.

After watching tons of videos and reviews, I decided to go with these clippers. Very quiet, easy to maneuver. The plug is this huge block, if you don’t have an outlet near your grooming table, I suggest running an extension cord so that plug does not fall out of the outlet. Otherwise, love it. Our first at home groom was a huge success.
