Tovolo, Food Cover Cooks Tools Collapsible Microwave

Good product. Easy to clean. Like the extra height and that it is collapsible for storage, though I just leave mine in the microwave!

I melted my old one when it was sitting on the stove and i was broiling something in the oven. woops. This is a great replacement, and can resize the height, tho i just open it up to the fullest and it works fine for anything. great sturdy product. just don't melt it.

-It does have vents and a little handle -no magnet -Is collapsible, but not really sure what the purpose is other than to reduce storage, but I just leave it in the microwave -its about 8.5" in diameter -about 3.25" tall -Dishwasher safe It's a pretty thick and quality rubberish type of material. It's made it a long time without becoming brittle or melted. It is dishwasher safe. It is not the kind with a magnet so it won't stick to the new microwaves. Overall it does the job really well, the vents help prevent most stuff from getting trapped but they do let some splatter through.

I really like this cover. It’s very large, so it works well for different plate sizes, and the foldable design makes it easy to store. It’s very practical and convenient to use.

I have been using a hard shell plastic cover for a few months but I wasn't overly comfortable with it as every time I used it and washed it it gave off a smell. The hard shell was ideal though because it fitted my plates perfectly and had a lip that hung over the edge of the plate so it didn't fall off if you knocked it. These in this kit look great and all 3 combined when packed flat take up slightly less height room that the hard shell plastic cover I had been using. When I opened all 3 new covers they stood slightly taller than the old hard shell which was also nice. There is however only one slight drawback. The bottom of each cover (the part that sits on the plate) is actually hard and so when I cover the 10-1/2" plates I have, the new cover slides around. Once on the plate and in the microwave it seems ok but I have to be careful when I place the plate and cover in the microwave and when I remove it as the top slides around. That's a less than ideal situation. I am pleased that this set of covers provides 3 different sizes and that they are flexible in that you can open them half way if you want (making them a little shallower). I do like that the small are large are much taller. However if I use the very large one, it sits on the microwave plate itself OVER the whole plate and therefore is a much lower cover for the plate which may limits its use. I guess I'll keep them as they are BPA free and they do offer some flexibility. So the only gripe I have is that the rim of each cover is hard and has no lip so they do not fit plates securely. None the less, I'll keep them and still give 5 stars as they're a great deal, offer a lot of flexibility, and they stack and store nicely. I also like them in red which was actually a lower cost so that's a positive too. Just hope they stand up to continued wear (opening and closing and washing) but I'll update the review in a few months if I have had any issues.

Exactly the size I needed, impossible to find in stores. Have a few large serving plates and the 13" diameter covers the dish perfectly. For anyone using these, the collapsible silicone rocks. Easy to store, clean etc.

Works nicely to heat evenly and the size good fit for preventing splatter from food. The material is dish washer safe. Prevents you from being burned with safe handle to take off heated food.

Works fairly well but has three problems. The first is that I really wish these were deeper by two inches at least so they would fit over microwavable bowls more fully. Second, after just one use to cover chili with one lid and tomato sauce with another, the clearish sides were stained even though we rinsed them off immediately after use and saw no stains at that time. Finally, it doesn't prevent all splatter, some escaped through the vents, a lot less but not all of it, not even close. Disappointing consider I read reviews on dozen of splatter cover products before buying these. The diameter is good for our size of large microwave and covered the top of bowls and plates, just not the sides as much as I wanted.

I previously owned a medium sized Tovolo splatter cover. The medium cover covers the food on the plate but sits on the edge of the plate. I thought I'd try the larger diameter, but I feel it's too large. Every plate I've tried, the large size covers completely and sits on the microwave turn table. The downsides are that it's so big it's difficult to get out of the microwave when covered in steam. Additionally, it's very big and difficult to fit in the dishwasher when expanded. Otherwise, the product functions as expected and advertised. Tovolo silicone doesn't smell even after the first use, unlike competitors. I've subsequently bought another medium sized cover.

It's a good product. Does exactly what it's supposed to, keep your mic nice & clean. The vents on the top are good too because it let steam escape. It's really easy to clean and it fold down without a problem too. Although I find if I fold it down and leave it on the top of the mic and I'm in a hurry I forget to put it in. So I leave it in the mic as a good reminder. It's too short for use with drinks/coffee, but good for heated plates of food and small bowls of soup. Really saves cleanup time I recommend it.

This is an excellent food cover for use in the microwave. It is flexible, yet sturdy. The many holes in the cover let the steam escape evenly and prevent over-heating. We use it mainly for popping corn in the microwave and we get best results using this cover (as compared to another cover with only a couple of holes). This cover is also GBA free.

Easy to clean and does the job. I’m happy with the quality.
