Great phone
I found this set of 4 phones easy to use when I had set them up but the instructions were very poor. People on here say it’s not loud enough but as a hearing aid wherer I’ve had to turn ours down

Nice phone
I'm a big fan of Gigaset and I'm pleased to say that this one lives up to expectations. It's really easy to set up and use and the sound quality is excellent. Because it has large buttons and a very clear screen I'm guessing it is aimed at more elderly customers but the handset is very smooth and quite narrow so it might not be so easy to hold for anyone with arthritis or hand problems. Otherwise I think it's first class.

Easy to use, but slightly muddy sound quality
I had a Gigaset Dune until a power cut/surge killed the base, and I replaced it with this one. I think the Dune was a better quality phone - I find the sound quality of the E390A a bit muddy and not as clear as I expected it to be. Other than that it seems fine.

Excellent product
Good design ..ease of use for elderly with big buttons for arthritic fingers. Great help.in setting up through Gigaset website..friendly, easy to understand. Instruction leaflet would be difficult for most elderly to follow.

Not suitable for hard of hearing
This is supposed to be suitable for people that are hard of hearing, however the volume of the ring tone is just not loud enough.I bought this set for my mum who is hard of hearing, however the ring volume isn’t very even as loud as my own ‘normal’ sound phone. I appreciate it has the volume button for while someone is talking on the phone, but what’s the point when they can’t hear it ring in the first place.Very disappointed with the phone and I certainly would not recommend.

Great phone set
Bought this Gigaset for my elderly mother, as she was having difficulty hearing with her older BT phones even on max volume. No problems with this Gigaset sound quality, ideal for her & in addition the larger numbers on the keypad & larger text on the screen are a bonus feature.

Disappointing
I bought these to replace an old (24 years old!) Panasonic KX TCD515 Dect phone (still functioning but the buttons are very worn). I didn't read the whole user guide for the Gigaset because, as it is the top of the range, I just assumed that it would do everything I needed. One of the functions that was really important was hot keys - ie short dial using just one digit. There is a 'One Touch Call' feature - but this just locks a single number that will be dialled whatever key you press (I found it really difficult to disable this - as an aside). You can scroll through the directory and send of course - as with any phone - but because my mother is partially sited she can only really read the main keyboard, and has been using this as a way of contacting friends and family for years. All in all, if I could have just bought a new Panasonic system I would have but they're discontinued. They are belting phones, with over 10 fully polyphonic ringtones built in - I know that this is irrelevant, but overall I just found these phones super-disappointing and have returned.

Decent Phone
This has served us well for along time now. Like many of this sort of phone it's finding your way around that takes a bit of getting used to. (My wife hates it!) Clear answer phone with 30 mins recording time.As someone with hearing loss you can turn it up quite loud, (my wife hates that too). It has a decent range and can be used in the sun lounge outside of the back of the house (and beyond) with the base in the front room for example. Quite smart (I think my wife quite likes that bit). Clear reception and can be used on 'speaker phone' on the handset (hence handsfree if you want) as well as the base station.
