The instructions are very clear and assembly is incredibly easy. The multi tool worked well but was too large for the space for the two center seat bolts, so having a rachet wrench is useful there. I think I tightened the center seat nuts too tight, which cause the four long screws to not sit straight. This made it quite difficult to attach the seat to my bike rack. I have a generic (Narrak) step through ebike that came with a hefty rack. It took a bit of work, and a soft rubber mallet, to get the seat on. It feels quite secure and I don't think it's going anywhere. I have grabbed onto the seat when lifting the bike up stairs and it didn't budge. The handle jiggles a little, no matter how tight the screws are, but it's not for weight bearing, so I don't see an issue. The feet rests are sturdy enough, but I wouldn't want to consistently put a lot of weight on them. I allowed my 80 lb 9 year old to climb into the seat. He put his full weight on one foot rest while climbing in, and while it flexed, it did not bend or break. He 'fit' in the seat, but is certainly too large for it and had difficulty getting back out. I would imagine he could sit on it fine if I removed the arm rests. This seat is intended for my 30 lb 4 year old, so I see no issues with it supporting her if it can support him. While it was an accidental order, I had intended on buying a different seat, I am satisfied with it and don't want to bother returning it for the other one. The seatbelt that came with it is a very thin material and the clip feels loose, so I won't use it. My daughter is old enough to stay seated without it. She says the seat is super comfy and fun to ride in and she wants to ride in it every day, so a win from her.

I was worried about buying this from the reviews but it's actually pretty great. Mounted easily to bike rack and is super solid . My kid is almost 5 and tall so baby seats were so uncomfortable. This was a perfect solution for long bike rides when our kid can't ride long enough on her own bike. The one and only complaint is the bolts need to be tightened every so offten . We ride our bikes daily and this seat has stood strong. Kid is over 30 pounds and the belt works fine just put around kid and keeps them in the seat. I also add tiny pillow behind for longer rides. Love this seat. Buy it

Padding wore and tore very fast I believe the different weather reps may have played a part in it it's just not made for different weather.. (We ride in all weather conditions) other than that it's as described

Placed 2 seats on electric bike racks. The seats fit the needs of the children l, but a better restraint is needed.

Awesome! My wife was concerned about our granddaughter riding on the back of my bike, this solved everything all in one. Hand rails foot and back support, wonderful. Granted she is 61/2 and will probably only fit in this last fall season due to the fact that it is designed for smaller children but what a blast it's been all summer long! Well worth the $. Just make sure to tighten all nuts & bolts and constantly inspect them to insure safety. They can tend to loosen with vibration. We ride hard and long.Gotta Love it!

The screws that keep the seat on (not the whole unit) come completely off while riding from vibration. We just leave the seat loose and take it off when our 3 yo isn’t riding. His weight holds it fine when he is.

Situation: 6 year old, 50 lbs, legs get tired on long family bike rides and he was quickly hating our rides because he couldn't keep up.What I was looking for: a seat that would accommodate his size and weight. Most are for 40lbs or less. Side rails in case he fell asleep while riding. Sturdy. Comfortable. Foot rests. Back rest.Our setup: I bought this seat with the Rock Bros rear rack. The rack holds 100+ lbs and the seat holds 100+ lbs. Both are mounted on a 29 inch mountain bike, but they will also fit on a 26 inch mountain bike.Pros of this seat: it's sturdy and easily holds the weight of the child. The seat isn't extremely cushioned, but enough to be comfortable for his tiny tush. The arm rests give him some security. The foot rests are textured to help him keep his feet from sliding off and into the wheel spokes. It's pretty lightweight. The metal is sturdy but lightweight. It's very easy to put together and all the tools are included with extra hardware. Fairly quick and easy to remove from the bike when not in use.Cons: Nothing really major. The footrests are metal. I'd rather have a rubber coating to help his shoes really grip them. The foam covering the arm rests isn't great quality and really loose fitting so I don't expect it to last too long, maybe a season. Could use a little more padding on the seat. The handlebars on the seat forced my husband to ride further up on his seat, which was uncomfortable so he removed the handlebars.Considerations: a heavier child on the bike means more movement of the bike when the child moves. The child needs to try to stay aligned with the other person and not rock from side it side or make other movements that could knock the bike off balance.To sum it up: My child really enjoys this seat and he now is excited when we go bike riding because he knows if his legs get tired, he can ride in his new seat. I would definitley buy this again. It's a great value for the money and I highly recommend it.

Bought this for my 2 year old and she loves it. The seatbelt is a waste of time and the instructions are iffy, but once it’s on it’s wonderful
