Safer Drain Opener by Xion Lab - Industrial Strength Liquid Hair & Grease Clog Remover - 32 oz.

We have a septic system so needed something safe. One bottle of this cleared three bathroom sinks that were close to standing water/very slow drain. We put a third in each sink, left it overnight, and poured in boiling water as directed. I then continued to run hot water until we heard the kerplunk and the drains were 100%. Amazing stuff! Worth the price.

My bathroom sink got to the point of backing up instead of just draining slowly. I tried one of those plastic hair-pullers, but it pulled very little out and stuffed the rest in solid. I let my fingers do the walking through the Amazon pages and found this. It claimed to be safer and greener AND industrial strength, so I gave it a whirl. I will admit that I poured the entire bottle down the drain and some of it sat in the sink for a short while, but I could see it was bubbling and some gunk floated up. I walked away and waited the full 8 hours before pouring a pot of boiling water down the drain. For a short moment the sink filled up, then I heard a clunk, and saw the water drain, and then another clunk, and it drained some more. I then turned the hot water on full blast and let it run for several minutes. That was last night. This morning my bathroom sink is draining better than ever!

I was skeptical and nervous about using a drain cleaner but it had good reviews and appeared safe for the old pipes in my 1935 house. I poured a dose down my tub drain and waited 8 hours then poured boiling water down and the clog immediately cleared. Great result!!!!

I don’t usually take time to write reviews but I was so impressed with this product that I did! I live in an old home. The pipes have probably NEVER been cleaned out, I don’t know. There was no telling what all was in the pipes but it has been slowly draining for a year. I thought it was the septic but I had the entire septic system replaced due to tree roots grown into the lines, to a tune of $10K! And my tub still drained slow! After reading the reviews on this product, I bought it. I poured 1/2 of the bottle in the tub drain per the directions and let it sit overnight. This morning I poured a pot of boiling water into the drain, per the directions. After about an hour I took a shower and for the first time in a year I was not standing in water. It drained fast!! I’m super impressed with this product!!

I’ve purchased a few bottles of this drain cleaner so far. My first impression was disappointment that it is NOT completely non-toxic; however, it is greener than most products.That said, I went ahead and tried it on the shower and bathroom sinks that were running slow, and it did a great job, working well enough that I purchased a second time.However, when I needed it the third time, the product was out of stock and by the time I received it, my drain was clogged such that I was standing in water by the end of the shower. With those conditions, this product was unable to fully clear the clog, even after two applications. Maybe it would have cleared after another bottle, but I took another route.(For reference, the clog was most likely just hair and/or the usual films that can accumulate in drain systems.)I’m not sure if I’ll keep buying this as a maintenance product given the expense (I’ll probably try the old vinegar and baking soda routine first) but I will definitely be paying more attention to the timing of my maintenance routines so I can avoid the toxic stuff.
