The media could not be loaded. Did the job for my forge. It did crack more than I expected after doing 2 coats. That could have been my fault. Still have enough to do a single patch jobMy forge is only 12” deep and inside coating surface is 6x5.5”I would buy it again but the price is a tad higher than I was hoping for.It was easy to mix and apply.

Works well like the other cement again to me it worked better when adding a little extra water and applying multiple layers letting each layer dry before applying the next then slow heat treating for cracks when applied thick and heavy tends to leave air bubbles allowing for cracking during drying process and even more cracking when heat treated air bubbles were popping causing cracking applied 4 layers on smelter and still ha e no cracks after almost 100 uses make sure you heat treat the cement before putting full heat light small fires on the inside of smelter with wood gradually making the fire hotter after about an hour or two you can use the propane tank heating the smelter up to 500 degrees then shutting off to cool and turning back on increasing temp by a few hundred degrees each time till you reach the optimal 2800 or 3000 degree smelting temp depends how high your smelter can go after adding the refractory cement you can heat up to even past 3000 degrees with no issues. Just read the tempature your metals melting point is you do not want to overheat and burn metal it will damage the metal if you overheat to much especially aluminum and copper will start to oxidize making the metal unsteady and pretty much worthless.

Leaked out of the bag in the box. And the instructions on the box label for 1/2 cup of water per 8oz of satanite was wrong. Way too much water.
