Y’all, we’ve been Phillips Hue people for two years, but saw the Cree products and did research…And holy hell—we LOVE these lights. We LOVE the app. We LOVE the price. We have the Edison bulbs outside and it’s super easy to set a timer schedule. We have the canned lights in our media room, and have a remote on the coffee table to adjust without any effort. Cause why leave the sofa if you don’t have to?? 😂Buy them. Totally worth it.

Works great with Alexa
I bought these for the kitchen pendants. I was able to adjust the brightness. I love that Alexa turns these lights off at 10:30 every night.

Hard to get it connected, but works great with nice features once it is going
Nice looking bulbs, great features like brightness control and the ability to change colouration, but very difficult to set up initially for us and once they lose connection like a power outage, hard to setup again.

Work best with Google home
These lights require you to download the Cree app for setup. Once complete, they can be paired with Google home and/or Alexa app. I have both and like the functions available in Google better when showing people the different colors. You can also pair them to work as a group. I have 5 bulbs in a fixture and control them all as one. You can change between 6 different colors of white and change between 0-100% brightness with each. I use Alexa to turn on/off and adjust brightness. Google is better to switch colors. The photo doesn't do justice to the different colors. They are very noticeable. You can set to what is comfortable of match most other lighting.

I want to like these bulbs
Pro-brightness as advertised; WiFi connection is perfect; once I figured out pairing/scheduling, works fine; once integrated with app, works well (I don’t prefer Alexa); looks good in fixture; I also have a can light version of this bulb that works wellCon-only a month experience; learning curve on pairing/integration/scheduling takes a time or three

Great bulbs easy to set up with Cree app, but only moderately compatible with Alexa
The setup was easy with the Cree app. Didn't require jumping through hoops like some smart bulbs.Connecting to Alexa was a bit more tricky. You have to enable the Smart Life skill before the Alexa app will find the bulbs. Also, as far as I can tell Alexa voice control only allows you to tune color between 3142 and 5210. It's good you can tune with voice control, but it would be a lot better if you could use the full spectrum.

It was a good bulb
This bulb worked fine until two days ago. At that time it stopped being able to be controlled by Alexa. The skill will no longer connect to Alexa (check the app reviews in the Amazon app store) so it can't be controlled any longer. I am hopeful that this is temporary and they will correct the issue. For now, If Alexa integration is important try another bulb. When the bulb was working it worked well. It easily connected with both the app and Alexa. The color change and dimming were both smooth. I hope they get the skill fixed.

Nice Tunable Edison Bulb...
Searching for a good tunable dimable Edison bulb. These work reasonably well. When you first turn them on the will slowly start to pulse. They are ready to be discovered. Downloaded the Cree Lighting app and they were found quickly. They updated firmware and were setup to a reasonable setting for the room. Overall setting up three bulbs took only a few minutes. The Cree Lighting app could be better, but it worked well enough to link the bulbs quickly with other services. It would be nice if they supported zigbee/thread versus wifi/bluetooth. I would also like to find a way to disable bluetooth.
