These arrived quickly. They were very easy to put on and we’re very comfortable for our 19 mile hike.

Gaiters aren’t side specific so one buckle is on your inside leg on one side, the other on the outside. Not the worst problem the world is facing but for an old guy like me it makes it difficult to fasten. Otherwise they’re very nice.

I wore these in the everglades and got a strike in the boot from a water moccasin. Seeing how deep the fangs pieced the hard rubber of my boot, I don't thing these would have stopped a strike in the shins. They are very comfortable, but that means nothing if they don't prevent a strike. I would give these a 50/50 chance of working. Better than nothing, but not perfect.

Based on previous reviews, this issue has happened before. The gaiters I recieved are not the same as pictured, close... but not the same. They do not have a draw string on the upper portion of the calf to help keep then tight. The velcro is actually on the back. Based on the picture, it shows the front which I would prefer when putting them on. These are not horrible gaiters, but I bought them expecting a draw string and forward facing velco.

I received 2 left legs. The buckles, zippers and Velcro closures are both on the left side.

The item received was not as pictured but rather matched a set that was less expensive. So we paid too much!

Held up well after 7 days of use in freshwater muddy forest, except the metail parts had significant corrosion staining. Seems like nongalvanized carbon steel was used. Otherwise really easy to put on and take off, and comfortable to wear all day.
