They work well.
Saved my new trees this year. The only thing I can complain about is they take a bit of time to fill. But then I had 15 trees to save.

Heavy duty, large watering bags.
Wow, these are heavy duty. I just planted a handful of trees in an area without irrigation, so I wanted to find something that could keep them moist for a decent amount of time. These bags are huge! Not for your twigs of a tree, but these will water your larger trees that are already 5+ feet tall. The material seems thick, zippers to help wrap the tree seem sturdy, and the fill area is reinforced. I have a few extra from this order so that next year, when I get more trees, I am ready.

Works as intended
Item works as intended, this is NOT meant to provide water for long stretches after filling. Its good for providing slow release of water over the course of a couple days to keep your trees hydrated in hot weather so don't think you can fill it up and be gone for a month or two. I usually fill it up once every 10-15 days and I found my soil stays moist during that duration but my trees are mulched. If you have smaller saplings you definitely want to secure this in place in case it tips over onto your tree and damages it.

Worked as described
We are in the middle of a drought this summer and we bought this to water a tree they planted in our new yard. It emptied in about 6-7 hours. We will use it once a week as is suggested. It is exceedingly easy to use and we will take it off between uses so the sun will not degrade it.

Slow water delivery is not as claimed
The description is inaccurate in that these bags empty out in about an hour instead of 5-9 as claimed. The stitching and zippers are low low quality and water leaks out of the stitching which will lead to the thread premature deterioration. These bags are much more stable when full of water, they “stand up” better than others of better quality that tend to lean when full bending smaller trees over if not corrected. I will seek a refund or discount as these are not worth $15 a piece. I like the stability but the goal here is slow delivery of water to the roots. I’m wasting my time and investment by bothering use these

Not what is pictured
According to the pictures, these bags stand up in conical shape, while leaned against the tree. The 2 i filled, were more like 2 large bags laying on the ground. Im not sure if they are putting water out the 2 holes in the bottom, but seem to be seeping from the outside. Well see if they are empty in 7-8 hours and how the soil moisture content is when they are empty. The bags are not very movable, the straps only being 2 inches, enough to put 2-3 fingers in and are very heavy. Water weighs 8.34 pounds per gal, so if your putting 20 gal in, thats 116 lbs per bag. The round pillows might work better as long as the water can get out.Edit:After observing the 2 bags, they did feed water at a 7-8 hour rate and using a moisture meter, the ground did get enough moisture to make the meter read in the correct area. The shape was still not like a cone but as it emptied, it did become more upright. Also, the bag was a bit more movable at 1/2 full.
