Introduction & Primary Use I purchased the Seagate One Touch 5TB to store my growing movie collection, which requires massive space for large video files. The 5TB capacity was the single biggest selling point for me, offering incredible space for the price. The setup was simple and I was able to format it for my usage easily. Performance and Security I primarily use this drive for large, archival file transfers. While moving my initial collection of several terabytes, it did feel slow, but that's just the nature of moving large amounts of data. Using a benchmark tool, I confirmed the sequential speeds are running right around 128 MB/s, which is actually very fast for a portable mechanical hard drive (HDD) and significantly better than older external drives I've used. Worth the money. This hard disk is working well for me. The storage capacity is good. But the only flaw is that it is sensitive. It fell off from my table, and got damaged. Luckily, I had warranty, so I got a new one. Hard disk is good, but don't expect it to be strong.

After reviewing numerous testimonials, I ultimately decided to purchase this product.This external hard drive stands out as one of the finest I have encountered. It offers exceptional affordability, a compact design, and a lightweight build, making it highly portable. Regarding performance, I conducted tests on both sequential and random read/write speeds. The results consistently demonstrated impressive speeds across all my evaluations. I will include screenshots to assist others in their purchasing decisions. I plan to provide further updates after daily use, but my initial impressions of its aesthetics, tactile quality, and performance are overwhelmingly positive. When transferring large files, such as movies and videos, I observed speeds ranging from 130 to 145 MB/s. For smaller files, like a substantial collection of photos, speeds were between 70 and 85 MB/s, which I consider remarkably efficient. There is another model, the Ultra Touch, which I found to offer comparable speeds; the primary distinction lies in the inclusion of a USB-C port. If a USB-C port is a priority, that model might be more suitable; otherwise, this particular model represents superior value for money. I personally utilize a USB-A to USB-C converter for transferring content from my mobile device.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Bought this Seagate 2TB hard drive and I have to say it's the best hard drive I've ever owned. The speed is great, the storage is massive, and most importantly, it's heavy enough to double as a premium paperweight. Whether I'm transferring files or preventing important documents from flying away, it performs flawlessly. Dropped it once and my floor got scared. Highly recommended for anyone looking for reliable storage, desk decoration, and office stationery management all in one product. Seagate really thought of everything.

Suddenly stopped working, with beeping sound the customer support is great but have to send it to netherlands for repairs and if they give you new you have to pay gst/taxes for it.

It has SKYHAWK durable surveillance hdd inside , works with low power , just one usb cable, no need for external power . Speed is just what an hdd should run at. and it's the cheapest plug and play 8tb hdd at the moment.

Doesn't work. Followed all troubleshooting steps to no avail. Can't find it in disk management and in device manager no amount of reinstalling or updating of drivers help. Tried different cables, usb ports and windows ( 7, 10, 11) across 3 different computers. Doesn't even show up in cmd - diskpart - list disk. Changed usb power settings also. Tried all that in safe mode also, nothing works. Finally after all that and more I call their support number to be told that they have dropped support for Hindi, no problem pressed 1 for english. Then on further navigating the tree I'm now being told to go to their website as there is no other option for support. Do not recommend, especially for Indian customers as decreased support options is a telltale sign of anti consumer measures especially against less tech savy and non english speaking customers so that they can't claim warranty support.
