If it fits I’m sure it would work, but if you know of a leather works supply shop such as Tandy Leather, or even a good craft shop or alterations shop might have supplies specifically for this sort of situation

Q: what is the length difference from 22-26 and 27-31 - in actual inches? im on the second to last hole on the 27-31..

Lol um...so those are inches actually. That’s how waist is measured. For pants and things. If you have the 27-31 inches, measure it. Should be around 27”-31” :)
