WORKS GREAT AND DOES NOT GENERATE ANY RF (RADIO FREQUENCY) INTERFERENCE
I purchased this power supply after a friend gave me a Dell Latitude E6540 laptop PC running Windows 10. My hobby is amateur (ham) radio and the power supply I received, which had no brand name on it, was generating terrible RF (Radio Frequency) interference on all of the HF (High Frequency) amateur radio bands on my Yaesu FT-991A HF/VHF/UHF transceiver. I discovered it was the source of the noise when I started unplugging devices and when I unplugged it the noise immediately stopped. I bought this power supply because it was made by Dell and was the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) power supply that came with the model E6540 when new. I hooked this one up as soon as it arrived and it generated zero noise on my ham radio. The old one made it almost impossible to hear weak signals, but this replacement power supply works great and does not generate any RF interference at all. I highly recommend it because of this! Apparently Dell has good filter capacitors in this supply and the cheap knock off version must not have had any filtering, either that or the electrolytic capacitors in it had dried out and were not effective anymore. I'm extremely happy with this purchase!

It Is An Original and Works on my Old Dell Laptop, Just Like the Original.
What can I say, other than it works on my old Dell Laptop? So Happy.

Great Build Quality - With Extra Features!
Purchased for my Dell Vostro 3460 laptop. I chose this adapter because I upgraded the i5 to a i7 3720QM, and I added a 512 GB mSATA drive (for extra storage, not for a BOOT DRIVE). With the added upgrades I felt that I would need a power boost, even though the laptop has onboard graphics. I was surprised that there was a smaller adapter attachment (I guess for laptops with a smaller hole). The build quality seems hefty and substantial. I did wish that this adapter came with the wire tie down (that little rubber strap that binds your adapters' power leads). Other than that, it was worth the hefty $30 price tag. I have purchased "knock off" Dell adapters, and they were all sketchy, but NOT this one.

Works as expected.
Works as expected. Charges battery and powers device. Device can properly identify wattage of charger and all.Tip for laptop end was a little tarnished (rusted). Might have been sitting around for some time. But it was otherwise new in appearance.Will update if there are any noteworthy issues.
