Bodyline Back Hugger - Thin - Bucket Seat Style works perfectly for me
The PERFECT Back Support for me. I have searched and tried countless lumbar back support items, some pricey, some cheap but most of which did not work for me. I use the support only while driving but especially on longer distance trips (like over an hour). This Bodyline Back Hugger - Thin - Bucket Seat Style works perfectly for me. It fits nicely in my truck's 'bucket seat' and I keep it in place with a few extender straps running from underneath the seat back up and under the headrest and down the front. The support for my back is PERFECT! I highly recommend to anyone with a similar need for lumbar support while driving.

Back-saving addition to Toyota Prius
This pillow is a welcome upgrade to our 2012 Prius. The stock seats don't have any lower back support. Plus our base model lacks cruise control so long drives were painful -- even for a slim guy with no preexisting back problems. The pillow is a perfect width for the front seats and the grey cloth is a close match to the interior. As others have noted, there is no strap to hold it in position and I find it most comfortable an inch or two up the seatback so it hugs my lower back. The pillow stays in place once positioned but needs readjusting every time you get in and out of the car. The hassle is worth it since my back feels much better while traveling.

Not working for me, but maybe it will for you.
I was looking for something for my car, and although this says "THIN" style, it's still a little too thick for me. It is very firm, and this was uncomfortable for me. If you are looking for a good contoured shape and a very firm support, this might work for you.

Nice Cushion, but Difficulty in Fitting / Positioning It Takes Away a Star
I just purchased a Honda Insight EX Hybrid, and am pleased overall with the car, with the exception of the seat, which doesn't have the amount of back support I expect, so on longer commutes I start to get a little tight in the lower back area. After looking very carefully at the reviews and descriptions of various lumbar support cushions, I decided to try this one. So far, I like it, but do have some small concerns, so read on....Pros:• Thin profile offers support to the lower back area without requiring me to move up in my seat• So far, the foam seems nice and firm (see cons about this too)• Gray color matches my seat upholstery pretty wellCons:• No strap to hold it in place, so it needs to be positioned every time you get in the car• Strap is available but pretty expensive - I might buy a full seat slipcover and tuck it under there - not sure the strap would always work anyway, with all of the in/out friction• Return policy is poor - if you remove it from the plastic, you cannot return it. However, it is difficult to ascertain the "break-in" of the cushion without taking it out of the plastic, so there's a little risk if you really want to feel how it's going to work

this product is exactly as its name describes...great back support in the car bucket seat
It is an excellent shape for your lumbar and not too thick for your car seat, it is also nice for regular chairs too. Totally conforms and supports your lower back. It is excellent, i am already on my second one....only I wish they sold just the slip cover for it as I would like to replace the old one as it has too worn from just regular use.......

cushion hot and uncomfortable; absurd return policy
This is my first review anywhere. I order a lot through Amazon and fortunately have had very few returns. Just so happens that at the same time I purchased the Back-Huggar cushion last month, I bought a "Fellowes Professional Series Back Support" through Amazon. I had to return it and did so with no problems and NO restocking fees. And, yes, it was out of it's plastic. Same issue, yet two very different experiences. Lesson learned. Be careful who you order from and make sure you read the fine print. Buyer beware. Here's my experience: I ordered the Back-Huggar cushion to give it a try on a car trip last month. I found it uncomfortable and extremely hot before I got a couple of blocks from the house, so I went back to using a rolled up towel behind my lower back for the trip. When I returned from my 10-day trip, I contacted the company through Amazon (The Therapy Connection at HPMS, Inc. Storefront) asking for a return--RMA. Even though they require a large, arguably unreasonable 20% restocking fee + shipping cost for the return, I figured I might as well bite the bullet and return it, because the item is of no use to me. I was told, they would make an exception to the 5-day return rule, "Thank you for your return inquiry. We would be happy to make an exception with the time limit so long as the product is still in it's original sealed plastic. Please let me know if the item is still in new resalable condition and we will be happy to issue an RMA!" I replied, "The item is in resalable condition. However, as indicated in my first e-mail, I said it was hot and uncomfortable, therefore it was not still in the original sealed plastic. I do have all the original packaging including the original sealed plastic, but the item is not in the plastic. The item is in mint condition." Seems like there are no exceptions because the reply I got was, "Once the item has been opened, we are no longer able to sell this item as new." If this was the policy for all businesses, no one would be able to return anything. I'm not sure why the company even offers a return policy. Why would anyone return the cushion if they haven't taken the plastic off and sat with it to see if it works? Maybe if they didn't like the color? I understand not taking back "used, unhygienic" items that are returned, but if the customer has a "brand new" cushion with all the tags and wrappers (yes, even the plastic that came off the cushion), why would they not accept the return? Yet, other companies do--so these kind of returns must be acceptable practice in the industry. If The Therapy Connection found the return unacceptable, they could return the item to the customer at the customer's cost--or keep the cushion and the 20% restocking fees would pay for the production cost of the returned item. Many customers seem happy with the product and have no need to make the return. For the few of us for whom the product doesn't work, there is no option with The Therapy Connection. We are stuck with the rigid policy. It seems to make sense that if a customer needs to return the cushion and agrees to accept the 20% restocking fees + shipping cost for the return, the customer must be confident the cushion is in "like-new" condition to go through the hassle of the return and to pay the fees. The upside to the story is that I will come out ahead financially by re-selling the cushion through Amazon than paying the hefty Therapy Connection's restocking fees. Yet, it would have been nice not to have to go through the hassle. Another instance where it's not about the individual customer, but its about the company.

Great back saver
I bought this pillow at the recommendation of my physical therapist for low back pain while sitting for extended periods of time. I chose the THIN one which is plenty of support without feeling like I am falling out of chair with traditional one ( tried one in past different brand) it really has made a big difference and I am so glad I bought it. It’s a bit pricey but worth it if it helps. Lucky for me it did

Great product, eases back pain in car tremendously
Perfect for the car. Back-huggar riske my back pain better than any other support I've used. Recommended by my physical therapist and I use one in both vehicles and seats at home. This one fits my vehicle very well and I'm so much more comfortable.
