I have tried several products. This was the first large format psa veneer.It will require trimming on all 4 sides due to how the psa is applied.When theyroll the veneer to ship, they fail to add just a little non stick paper to the edge. The result...is the edge of the veneer sticks to the surface..when you go to unroll the veneer it has stuck. This leaves a glue residue, which is impossible to remove on a bare wood product without risk pf damage. First order was damaged..2nd order arrived the same way.

I have ordered from the supplier previously. This Particular piece had numerous areas of bubbling in paper covering adhesive. This usually doesn't effect a smooth layering application of the veneer. With this particular item as the paper backing was removed for application, the adhesive appeared to have blistered forming welts under the veneer when applied to the fact surface of a small table. The blisters were not apparent until after beginning the application process. These welts appear as small lumps under the veneer. I am a professional restorer with MFA in Art & Furniture Conservation. Buyer beware.

Veneer had three knots in it in a row, one of which was so bar in had to be filled by the manufacturer. This combine with the glue stuck to the front from the rolling up made me feel lucky I could find usable areas in total to do my stereo speakers. Also, about 1/2 inch down the length on the edge wasn't glued and paper backed. It did adhere well and looks good. I ordered another piece for the second speaker.Edit: Second sheet arrived, was much better. Rolled the other way so there was no marking and there were no knots.

When I pulled the veneer out of the box, it appeared to be stuck to itself from the adhesive. When I was able to roll it out, it turned out to be a deep cut groove where the adhesive stuck. It was very near the center of the sheet making it useless to me.

I bought this veneer to recover my coffee table. I noticed seams/lines in the veneer right away upon unpackaging. I thought with sanding and stain I could make it less noticeable so I went ahead and applied the veneer sheet, sanded lightly, and stained it dark walnut. It still really looks horrible. I’ll be tearing it off and replacing with a better quality veneer. This was a complete waste.
