Excellent purchase
These are Koss Retrospekt headphones and they are crucial for full Eighties nerdiness. I won’t go into the long, fairly harrowing story of how they got here, but if you want a pair it’s quickest to order them from the USA on Amazon.com (as opposed to .co.uk). The best sound quality version of these are the KPH40 but they have black ear pads, although orange ones can be bought separately, and a black headband. I had black earpads in the actual Eighties so they’re not wrong but I wanted the brushed steel headband and the orange pads. They have no microphone or volume control as headphones with these functions, such as my Bang & Olufsens, will only play in one ear when plugged into a Walkman unless the jack plug is slightly pulled out. Something about three lines vs two lines on the jack pin. But I’m just nerding aloud. Suffice to say, they are light as a feather to wear, far better quality headphones than they look and the listening experience is 100% authentic to the time, right down to the noise leak that would drive people on the bus to distraction 😎

Light Headphones With Very Good Sound
I'm a bit of a headphone addict and snob. I prefer balanced and clear sound, not too high in bass. I have high end AKG's, and Audio Technica with a headphone amp and a huge variety of music. I also always want a light and comfortable pair for casual listening. These are perfect for that and the sound is remarkably good for the price point. They are also very light and great for long term listening. I fully expected to have to return them for poor sound quality or fit. Instead I immediately bought a second pair in case these go away for some reason. I've owned them eight months and they have seen a lot of use and are holding up just fine.

Pretty good, could be better
Got these as a holdover until I get some new PortaPros, and they're not bad at all for the price. The sound quality is good, a lot better than most of the stuff in the price range. The headband makes me nervous, it looks pretty thin, but it's held up and Koss stuff tends to be sturdy. Time will tell.I love the orange ear pads, they really make them pop out. Very comfy to wear for extended periods too. Very minimalist design, but I like it in this case.Well worth the buy, but if you have the extra cash to spend, I'd highly suggest getting a pair of PortaPros instead, as the sound quality and design is much better. That said, for a budget pair this is one of the best I've purchased.

Great headphones
Good sound, great look; however, note that sound does leak out very easily, others can hear what you are listening to!

Looks cool, sound sucks
I like the retro design of these headphones, but if you're buying them to listen to music, it's a bad idea. For podcasts it's ok.Compared to KOSS Porta Pro, they sound much worse.I ended up moving the Porta Pro drivers to the Retrospekt frame. And ordered orange Porta Pro pads from YAXI.

Retro 80’s Headphones
If you’re looking for retro 80’s headphones at a good price, then these are what you want. Sound quality was what you would expect when listening to cassette tapes. Gets the job done.
