It works!
The media could not be loaded. This works exactly as described. I'm not an expert, just did some research on wiring diagrams for these old rotary phones to get them to work. This will work with a new Comcast Xfinity service and XFI devices. Hopefully the video will help as I am not an expert and I don't do videos but I try to be as clear and concise as possible. I feel this one needed some explanation as well as some of the problems you might run across while you're trying to bring these old phones back to life. Worth the effort for all the nostalgia these phone bring back when they are working again! Disclaimer...that is not my phone number on this phone.

Works to connect old rotary with digital land-lines
It was difficult to find this item, apparently not many people are trying to use a rotary dial in 2018... but I tested it on an old rotary dial phone using my digital land line and it works great. I can use the rotary phone to dial out.I think there were some reviews that the unit was hard to install, but they have since upgraded and it's a simple external adapter now. Plug and play.

Worked great
I have it hooked up to a Verizon home base. Works fine, just had to let it sit plugged in for about 15-20 minutes before it would dial out. On a side note, I forgot how laborious it is dialing a rotary phone.

Works great. Plug it into the wall, not the phone
Works great. I have a rotary phone plugged into a cellular base station that I bought from Walmart. Works fine. But first I plugged it into the back of the phone and it didn't work. Then I plugged it into the base station and it worked great.

The convertor box fraud.
I was recently forced to hook up my phone service to Comcast/Ixfinity. Comcast assured me that my rotary phones would still work with their service. They do not. When a technician came out and investigated, he was informed by his supervisor that they will not work. I then inquired about the pulse to tone convertor box. I was assured that the box would solve my problem. I bought the box and boy did I get took. The box does absolutely NOTHING. Amazon needs to yank this product.
