BEST SMART LOCK on the market.....small, clean design, easy to install.
I've installed just about all the smart locks that are on the market today, and this one is by far the BEST. My issues with other brands I've installed is the overall size of the back of the locks due to the technology on the inside. They all work well, aren't aesthetically pleasing. The Level Lock blends with any door, all technology is embedded into the deadlock, and most would not even know it is a smart lock. I refer to these locks as the Apple of Smart locks. Sleek & Clean product designs, works perfectly, easy to install, and the packaging is beautiful. Worth every penny. I now have two in my home and connected both to Apple Home Kit as I also have several Leviton Lighting Controls and other Smart devices. All integrated onto my Apple Home Kit. I communicate to Siri on when I want my doors open/locked or even the status on if it is open/unlocked. I HIGHLY recommended these Locks. included before and after shots of the install.

Small inconspicuous lock
Great little lock, easy to swap out from existing hardware couple of gripes - though the lock itself is hollow with the battery inside, a couple of good tackles into the door and someone might be able to get through, if you live in an area with bold thieves who aren't afraid of who/what's inside the home, this lock may not be for you. The lock mechanism itself is quite weak and I had to adjust the door catch as it wouldn't fully extend or retract otherwise. Overall great product it fits my needs, it doesn't even look like a smart lock and opens with a touch through the phone, easy to share codes with timed access too.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Weak lock do not buy
This is a terrible lock. First of all the package they sent was missing installation hardware that I had to improvise on, no big deal and I could have lived with that. The motor is so under powered that it could barely slide the bolt even after putting a new battery in it still was weak. The app worked the lock but said mechanical problem each time. The actual bolt is hollow and made of weak metal that I feel like I could bend in my hand. So for something that is supposed to provide protection from intruders and protect your family it is horrible. The knob on the inside of the door detaches and wobbles and feels like it would spin completely if it were used for an extended period of time. This is an honest review of a terrible product I truly hope that anyone looking for this type of lock reads this and shops elsewhere as this is purely an inferior product in every way.

Are there no good smart locks?
I am all-in on the smart home ecosystem. I love all my smart home devices, even the ones that make me frustrated when they don't work how they're supposed to. There's devices that work nearly full time, 24/7/365 without issue. Then there's devices that work 98%+ of the time. Then there's devices that fit into one of those two categories until suddenly there's no telling when they're online, offline, working fine or completely dead. The Level Lock is one of those devices. I own two Level Locks. One is the invisible deadbolt mechanism, the other is this one. Both have given me problems. This one just stopped working one day. No warning. Just dead. Turns out, the battery died. Oops. So I buy this obscure battery that is sold nowhere locally (CR2 battery). Hey, now it doesn't connect anymore. Factory reset time. Works great! Then one day, "device offline". So I open the Level app and connect via bluetooth. Try to set it back up on wi-fi, but no success. Factory reset time. Works great! Then it stopped working again. Can't connect via wi-fi or bluetooth. Factory reset time. If you browse the reddit forums relating to Home Automation, you'll see this is a common issue. There's few truly GOOD smart locks out there. Level had the chance to be the nicest looking, most consistent, and best overall smart lock, but they've dropped the ball. They are battery hogs, even if you don't use any automation features. Simply manually turning the lock with your hand will drain the battery a decent amount. And the connection problems seem to pop up after each firmware update. In the end, I don't have any smart home locks I'd recommend right now. Level is not consistent enough to justify the price nor the headache. If you want a tip, avoid the Level app if you have Home Assistant running on your network. It is far easier to install the lock, start the pairing process and then let HA discover it and add it to your network. I've found it much more useful that way, plus you don't have to have yet another smart home app on your phone that you never use. I'm sure there's features I'm missing by doing it this way, but I think the HA bluetooth connection is much better compared to letting these locks try to communicate via wi-fi.

Promising Smart Lock with Room for Improvement
I've been using the Level Lock Smart Lock for keyless entry, and it's certainly a promising addition to my smart home setup. While it offers some fantastic features, there are a few areas where it could use some improvements. One of the standout features of this smart lock is its automatic locking function. However, I've encountered a minor inconvenience with it. I've set the lock to automatically engage after 1 minute of inactivity, which is great for security. However, it becomes a hassle when I step outside briefly to pick up the mail and return to find the door locked, with my phone inside the house. This forces me to leave the door open until I can retrieve my phone to unlock it manually. It would be incredibly helpful if Level Lock could incorporate a sensor to detect if the door is still ajar before locking automatically. Another area of improvement lies in the unlocking process using the mobile app. Currently, you need to keep the "unlock door" button pressed for a period of time before it unlocks the door. It would be much more user-friendly and efficient if a single press of the button could initiate the unlocking process, eliminating the need to keep the button held down. Despite these minor inconveniences, the Level Lock Smart Lock has proven to be a reliable and secure addition to my home. It's sleek, unobtrusive, and blends seamlessly with my existing door hardware. The app interface is intuitive and user-friendly, allowing for easy management of access codes and monitoring of the lock's status. In conclusion, the Level Lock Smart Lock shows great promise and has the potential to become an even more outstanding smart home device with a few enhancements. If Level Lock can address these issues in future updates, it would undoubtedly make for an even more convenient and user-friendly smart lock solution.

Way better than Kwikset or Schlage locks
I was in 2 minds when i ordered the product. But when i received and opened the box, i was really taken aback with the quality of the product. Looks like some really good quality materials has been used to create this masterpiece. Best part is the simplicity of the design. Literally anyone who knows how to use a screwdriver, can install this product. I uninstalled the older manual Schlage lock and my wife was able to install this lock within a few minutes. Instructions were straight forward and easy to understand. Only feedback is the instruction for installing the battery needs to be a little more prominent. My wife had to glance a couple times to find the fine print. it has been a couple weeks since we installed the lock and when my daughter comes back from school, she can open it very conveniently from her phone by the click of a button! Just amazing! One improvement that will be super helpful for homes with glass storm doors + Main door. If level lock can build a secondary lock that syncs with the main door, that will be very useful product for many. I use a manual lock for storm door when needed and a new product to help this scenario would be amazing.

My kids can't lock me out now! hahaha!
Id like to lead with: I bought this to see if I could use it like the level bolt. The good news is, you actually can. The keyset is very similar to a schlage, which bonus - thats what kind of lock I had. I have previously purchased just the Level Bolt kit and had extra adapters, which I didn't need thankfully. It seems I got a return that was carefully repackaged, but there were signs it was an opened and attempted to be installed item, but the pieces were all fine. I removed the lock cylinder, with a little patience it came right now.. and I plugged my existing deadbolt cylinder in - I did have to change the end screw that holds the tail that does the actual deadbolt turning, and I used the one from the package, worked fine. I did end up dropping all the pins and springs on the "new" cylinder, but its cool because I wasn't going to use it anyway. All of that was honestly unnecessary to use it like a level bolt, but I am who I am, haha. It started right up, paired with my app and synched with homekit perfectly. Because I have a Home Pod Mini, I didn't need to get any additional bridges or devices. As much as Id love it to work with Google home, I don't actually want to pay more for that. So my locks are homekit and my lights are google, whatever. This version was cheaper than the level bolt, by a LOT. I did end up using the trim kit that came with it because I liked it better than the one I had on my back door (that this wasn't bought for) but being that its interchangeable, I was able to just install it with my older level bolt and then use the new 'guts' to power my front door. I really REALLY like the backside of the lock where you turn it and how the knob comes off to reveal the screws, you just need a small pin like a simcard puller to pop it off. Once I figured that out, I was golden. I didn't love the front of the lock but I'm picky. Very well made, would buy again.

Is it really worth the money?
Ok so I ordered one after seeing that most YouTube reviews suggested this lock as the top lock for homekit, plus I am a renter and I like how it is hidden and this was a no drill or mod installation. The first one I had kept loosing connection with my HomePod mini. And after days of putting up with it I returned it and decide to by another one hoping it was just that specific lock. Well it was not that specific lock. I kept getting notifications all day long that the lock was on or offline and then it wouldn't work when I arrived home half the time because of connection stability. So I called Level Lock customer service, which was very pleasant interaction and didn't even have to wait on hold. So when I was on the line with Level Locks support tech he had me do some things like make sure range booster is on, but he informed me that range booster doesnt extend the range of connection, it just sends out a signal more often like once every 10 seconds vs once every 20 seconds so it would increase the stability of the connection. So we tested it and no success, and at that time he had me move my homepod mini across the room and put it about 3-5 feet away from the lock (which is the distance they say it needs to be to be a stable connection) and that sucks because I don't want my HomePod sitting on the bench next to the door because the locks bluetooth range is abysmal. So even with the HomePod right next to the lock I am still getting about 6-8 notifications a day that say it's offline and online. I even tried swapping out the HomePod with another one I had in my game room, and that too was a major disappointment. The HomePod and lock were both upto date on firmware. But as I am writing this review, Apple just dropped an update 16.3.1, so maybe that will fix the stability issue but that still doesnt change the fact that I have to have my HomePod in my front entry way on the bench because the lock cant reach past 5-7 feet for bluetooth. And that is pretty sad. So in conclusion I would at least tell you to proceed with caution and be aware that the connection stability is anything but good. And I really wanted to like this lock.

There is no warranty in Canada for any Level lock
I bought this lock because it is sold on the Canadian amazon site. Unfortunately, Level Home does not provide a warranty for customers in Canada. Yikes.

Poor connectivity and battery level indicators are not helpful
I bought two of these to use in my home. Fast forward a couple of years, and I have been locked out of my house not once, but twice. First time was because of connectivity issues -- I only had an Apple Watch on (no Level app access) and Homekit could not get the lock to open. To be fair, it might just be that my WiFi was patchy. But the second time, the battery ran critically low and the lock never gave a warning, whether through the app or Homekit, and when I returned home the lock was dead. Honestly these locks have been a huge hassle and I would not recommend.

It’s magic !!! … HomeKit game changer for sure
Used it to replace a door lock in our garage that was always a hassle to find keys for when we parked the car. It’s perfect. Now we get home & automation unlocks it as we trigger the garage. Easy to install. Just pay attention to the directions. That “did I lock the garage” feeling melts away. Lock feels great when using a key. It’s not loud when using the motor. Great build overall.

Simplemente no sirve
