Worked great but died after several months
I bought this because I know someone who has one and it worked well. Not sure why mine stopped working after about 4 months and the screen went wonky and wouldn’t record video anymore. Tried different SD cards.... still wouldn’t record :(

Overpriced seller. Good camera.
Standard easy to use dash cam. It has a wide view and they do (like all dash cams) come with a 8gb sd card. Which is easily removed if you have ever used electronics. The FOV is fairly good if using the maximum resolution. Menu will take you a second to figure out because its one of those double click setups with buttons having multiple functions. But if you read the included directions then you should have the camera up and running in less than 5 minutes. Please dont believe the 1 star reviews. They are obviously either old people that belong in a home or trolls. BUT THE GOING RATE FOR THIS MODEL IS UNDER $40 SO BUY IT SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Great cam. Real Loop Recording Flaw in microSD card slot.
Well, this dash cam ended up being a really good one for a surprisingly low price. The recording quality is better then others I have owned at $50. Caught many near misses, the Trump Unity bridge, and a state trooper almost causing an accident. Pushing the lock button locked these captures preventing the loop recording from removing them. This is how a real dashcam should work. This dashcam is also very power efficient. I've left it plugged in all night to have my car start the next morning. perfectly fine. Combine this with the motion detection which starts and stops recording, you could leave it run all night and capture what ever it captures.Well, it was a good cam Until an actual accident occurred. From the impact, the microSD card flew out into the unknown and with it, my recording. This is disappointing as a good cam like this is perfect, yet one major flaw prevents it from it's true use. Keep in mind, this was a big impact. But, the camera survived and still works. Threw in a new card, and records fine. I highly recommend putting duct tape over the slot. That way, if the card decides to self eject, it can't physically and will stay in. Hopefully Uniden redesigns the camera to have a locking mechanism, to prevent the card from leaving the cam. For now, duct tape works just fine. And saving interesting captures, just plug it into a PC and copy them that way. Also, one more neat feature. When you do plug this cam into your PC, you can use it as a plug and play webcam. Or, a long enough USB run, as a surveillance cam that can be managed by your PC.

Took an hour to program, as the unit directions ...
Took an hour to program, as the unit directions are somewhat cryptic. Then after taking a test drive, it only recordedthe last 20 seconds of a 2:30 minute drive. Then the unit became impossible to access the menu, or anything elseas it just kept recording. (No button would take it out of "Record") I suspected this unit was used, I purchaseda 32 gb card, after reading the installation instructions, and could not get the "chip"in the unit because there was alreadya 8 GB card in it. Obviously this unit was used by someone else and returned, to Uniden. The included manualspecifically says....."The memory cards are not included". All of this on day one of receiving the unit.I will be returning the Birthday gift my wife bought me.

Same EXACT Experience as previous Comment
Bought this CAM250, bought 32gb microSD as stated in manual that microSD card does not come. Buy I found an existing 8gb card already. SO far so good. My unit did NOT have socket to mount my camera. Looking at pictures, I see a piece missing. Not very useful.
