Y'all Can't Read?
It isn't Lorde's fault if you people are too dense to know what "discless" means, come on now. The box is great. The photocards included are a good-quality, thick paper with little notes and drawings printed on their backsides. The lyric booklet is as expected. The poster is large, double-sided, and well-printed. There's a little card-shaped piece of paper with a code to access the exclusive website containing extra content and a link to download the album and bonus tracks. All in all, it's a great collectible item for fans of the artist.

The description is misleading
On the one hand , it says audio cd, and in the details, one disc. Then I see the title is ‘discless music box’So, I am returning my discless cd…

NO CD - Read the Description Carefully
This purchase is for a cardboard box which contains some photo cards, a fold out poster, a lyric booklet with photos and a business card with a code to DOWNLOAD a digital copy of the album with 2 BONUS SONGS. You can also download a HD version of the album with the codes. DO NOT BUY IF YOU ARE ONLY LOOKING FOR A CD OF THE ALBUM it does not contain one.

This is not an audio CD even though it is listed as a CD.
This should be listed correctly. Who wants a fancy box with card pictures. I thought I was purchasing a CD. I do not want a digital download. The person/people advising this artist are seriously damaging her brand with this deception. Frankly I like her music for her voice not her body and I detest that I have to look at a photo of her buttocks. Her voice is the talent - not her buttocks - idiots!

Utterly tone-deaf for the trendy . . .
Well, this is what we asked for - kind of. With digital music, there was much to be said about the lack of album art and this is a pretty package that's basically just album art.The THEORY here is that CDs are bad because if you throw it in the ocean, it's garbage. That's where we get to the problem of this being tone deaf. The current concern with digital music is not being able to OWN it . . . however the argument at the time goes, it's just not like CD/Vinyl or Cassette. Music has a HUGE secondary market . . . vinyl is making its way back.I bought this knowing that it was probably just a digital download of some sort, but HOPED that it was some kind of biodegradable USB stick or something thoughtful. Instead, we've got music downloaded from a 3rd party and when they go out of business or some arbitrary other thing happens, it's gone. This concept could have EASILY have been done with more thought put into it. You buy a digital album for $10, you get Amazon, Apple, Google, Joe's MP3 Shack or whatever. If you buy a 'music box' you get a digital album from the mainstream vendor, this nice little bit of album art, and the special code to get more for the album "when Lorde feels like it".Trent Reznor has toyed with some different release models over the years . . . this would have been an opportunity by a fresh young mind to move us back towards the music experience. Instead, we're saving the oceans from CD collections which are probably in the driest places in our homes and they're not getting tossed out until the media degrades.

No Actual CD
The box contains lyrics and cards and NO CD. I wanted a CD, I paid for a CD. There's a link to download the songs ---- which I burned onto a CD. So what was the point? If I wanted just the digital downloads I would have paid for the digital downloads. But all it is is a pretty box with no actual music inside. I returned the first one because I thought it was a mistake until I figured out the joke was on me.

No ACTUAL CD
Sold as audio CD but very fine print of description says contains download info not CD. Also "high resolution" download offered is just .WAV files at std res. Olny high-res compared to compressed .mp3. Description should highlight NO media. Also, IMHO, silly to not offer CD for ecological benefit then offer vinyl - as if that is green.

This is NOT a CD...it's a box!
Let's make clear from the start, this is NOT a CD. As Lorde makes clear it, it's a nice decorated cardboard box, containing pictures , a poster and a lyric book. If you want the music, you have to follow the link. OK nice and modern as Lorde believes CD's are wasteful and polluting. But, I wanted Lorde's music on a conventional CD. As such I cannot give this a higher rating.

Utter waste of time and money
I want a CD. What I got was a box with some bits of paper in, plus a link to a site which offers the album as a download in 400MB WAV format. Who on earth wants a WAV file? Either I have to pay for an MP3 download or convert it myself. The pictures in the box are mildly pretty, but Lorde, you know what would save the planet more than a cardboard box with no CD in? Not sending millions of cardboard boxes across the world in the first place.I have not listened to the music.

Lorde Solar Power Vinyl album
I was glad to hear Lorde had released a new album, then I found out that it would be as an MP3 download with bio-degradable, recycled CD sized picture and sleeve notes, I wasn't so happy. I am old school I like a physical album. If I wanted an MP3 version, I would buy the CD and rip it or in many cases, buy the CD/Vinyl album and get a free download. Thankfully the album came out in vinyl format, what a lovely album, so easy going and a joy to listen to. Well worth the wait from a very individualistic artist.I appreciate the idea of non-plastic products but I hope this brave move of not releasing the album in CD format doesn't backfire with loss of album sales and illegal downloading. But then how much plastic is being used in the vinyl album production?
