Q: What sort of current limiting? If the load demands high amps, does it keep Volts constant and just self-limit output, or reduce voltage, shut down ?

It will overload and shutdown somewhere between 110 to 140% of rated current. It will automatically recover once the load is is back within specification.

Hi, It sounds like the 110 AC in was wired backwards by what you are saying. The output wouldn't do what you are describing, but the AC input could if it was wired incorrectly.

I wouldn't think it would take more than 3~4 amps input for the power supply. 3 amps x 120 volts = 360 watts. The power supplies are not 100% efficient and assuming the 264 watts for the LED is and honest power rating, I believe 3~4 amps on the input would provide a safe margin.
