I did not get the same color as in the picture. The one I recieved is very light blue. The quality is good.

The palette was extremely well packaged for shipping. It is ironic that the same care was not put into the manufacturing of the actual item. As others have stated, the color not as pictured--it's more of a pale blob of greyish lavender with hints of pink. Imagine attempting to paint a wet-on-wet hydrangea in all of it's glory and arriving at an overworked blob of indistinct, muddy colors. That's what you get. The color of this palette doesn't really matter, however, what does count is how this travel pan is constructed: cheap, rickety, hinges that feel fragile, along with a wonky top that wouldn't close. I had to do some gentle bending to get the top to seal onto the bottom tray for it to close. The closure "snaps" are shallow compared with other small metal palettes I have. I suspect that this palette will need to be secured with tape or a rubber band to avoid mishaps in my travel bag. Will it do the job? Yes. But this palette probably won't last for years as a better manufactured one will.IMHO: Spend the extra few $ on a better, sturdier (brand name) travel palette that will hold up to years of use and abuse.

This is perfect for those just starting or trying to move to a smaller palette. I find the metal palettes are best because I can bend and move the metal to secure each pan into place. I have 14 half pans in mine but could fit even more. It's tiny enough to fit in a bag but also has ample mixing room.The blue galaxy print is more pastel purple, which was a pleasant surprise for me but may upset others.

The color was not as vibrant as the photos. Otherwise it is as expected.

Unfortunately mine arrived bent as if it had been crushed under something heavy. Judging by the outer packaging, it didn't happen during shipping. With a bit of patience and some pliers I was able to bend it back mostly in the right shape. I would not feel good about traveling with this palette so it stays home where it won't get crushed again. Too bad because it is cute and holds paint. The color is a lot lighter than the pictures. More of a lavender than deep purple.

I love these palettes because they will hold 14 half-pans (some half-pans are smaller than others) and folds out to give plenty of mixing spaces.I was a tiny bit disappointed because the color of mine is much lighter than the rich, deep blue-violet in the picture. It is still pretty, but I would have preferred (and still would prefer) the darker version.
