Active AquaHydrofarm AAPWIMP800 800 GPH Pump Replacement Impeller, Black

I didn't want to spend $80+ for such a small part at the end of summer, especially when summer waves company, Polygroup lists the same part for $27, but they're always out of stock. Anyway, the price was low enough on this to take a risk. It would have been simple if only the shaft was broken (which itwas in 3 pieces), but the six blades on the impeller were all broken off too. I had planned to get this just to see if I could remove the impeller blades and put them on the existing magnet, but I couldn't figure out how to take them off. The magnet on this is the exact same diameter and nearly the same length. I had to take off the black rubber bushings on the end and use the white ones off my original impeller because these are too skinny. It's just a wee bit short - maybe a mm or 2, but once I pushed the top of pump body back in place, it stayed put. The impeller blades look a bit small for the compartment where they spin, but this was only intended to be a quick temporary fix to get the pool pump running again before the kids lost out on the last few days or weeks the weather might allow for pool time. In NC that time is unpredictable. Anyway, the pump is running great and seems to be pumping stronger and quieter than it did from the beginning.So, all you frustrated Summer Waves pool owners, this works!

I have a Lifegard Generation One all one filtration and fountain assembly and the pump recently quit. The part number on the pump is Pentair R440442 so I set out looking for replacement parts to no avail. I took a chance with this impeller since it looked like it would fit. The magnet is slightly taller and there are a couple more blades on the end but this dropped right and man does it move water. I have no doubt that the pump will be able to power a fountain and waterfall. This piece saved me the trouble of looking for a new all in one system.

My pool needed a new piece and this did the trick. I don’t have any complaints, it worked really well for me.

how great i don't have to replace the whole pump, when this is the part that wears.
