I have to say I was worried about getting this and placing on countertop. The size is about the same as a home bread machine. It’s reliable and automatically makes ice, and any ice not used that liquifies it recycles back to remake more ice. The ice shape is like sonic ice and is great if you enjoy chewing ice. I use bottled water in my machine and there is no weird taste from the ice. Highly recommend if you don’t have ice maker in fridge. It also makes good ice to use in blender or for mixed drinks.

Best decision to purchase this! I like to chew on ice and found that this ice machine makes the best nuggets. The machine is small so I have to refill a few times during the day but it also holds a decent amount of ice. I don’t mind the size as it quick to put out more ice after I’ve emptied it. Not too noisey other than when I first start it up. Easy to clean. Definitely worth it.

I love this ice maker! Ive never owned an ice maker so I have nothing to compare it to, but I am beyond happy with my purchase.I got home late this evening from work and it was on the porch in the upright position. I did not see that its supposed to be upright for 24 hours before plugging it in until after I had it plugged in and making ice. Im hoping that didnt harm it, but its been making ice for a couple of hours and everything seems fine.It's started off kind of slow, a piece of ice here, a piece of ice there... but once it got going it really pumped out the ice. I used the scoop to move the ice around in the basket a couple of times because it will get backed up before the basket is full. It stops with a green light to let you know the basket is full. I pushed some ice around and it started producing more almost immediately.I saw a few reviews that complained about the noise, but im not finding it any louder than a fridge or deep freezer. I took a video but not sure how accurate the noise level is with my phones microphone. Its really not worth waisting anymore time talking about it other than to say dont sleep with it and you should be fine.I got this because Im a fan of ice water and energy drinks poured over ice (There's a 4th of July Monster that is so good over ice!). I also like to chew a bit of ice with each sip. This thing makes the perfect ice for it. Its like Taco Bell or Sonic... even the ice they use for patients in hospitals.. its perfect ice.Pros: Its an ice maker that makes perfect chewable ice and it doesn't break the bank to buy one.Cons: Really, the only con I can think of after a couple hours of use is its not a freezer. So the ice it makes has to be used or tossed, otherwise the ice will melt, drain into the reservoir and be remade. I imagine this would put a lot of strain on the ice maker and burn it out before its time. Plus, the ice would start tasting funky.I highly recommend to anyone that likes ice and likes to chew it.

This ice maker is pretty quiet, the bullet cubes are bigger than our other two ice makers made. I got the one with the basket expands, which is nice. Now the negative. The basket never fully fills because the ice ends up stacking where the sensors are, so it stops. So you have to watch and move the ice around. And I have to remove the basket to see the water fill line.

Bought this for down at the camper. The best product I could buy. I use it and fill up bags and freeze them and then I shut it off. Makes perfect ice fast, easy and effective and I will continue to use it and when this goes down I'll buy another one. Absolutely love it. I use distilled water in it so I don't get any type buildup but absolutely love it and when companies here I just leave it and everybody gets a kick out of getting the ice out of the machine

If you like Sonic nugget ice then you need to have this handy dandy icemaker. I have been using it for a month and I am extremely pleased. I primarily purchased it for use in our RV, however, I have used it in my home as well. This machine has a built in self clean cycle. Extremely easy to use, I just add bottled water turn it on! It is not extremely heavy, so it’s easy to move around on the counter. It does, as some customers have noted make a humming noise, but it does not bother me. And, the ice is worth it. NOTE: The time that it takes to begin making ice depends on how cold your water is.

Product worked well until it stopped randomly. Ice maker stopped working after 2.5 years. Would produce ice quickly.

*** UPDATE 9/26/2025 ***Ice maker is still working fine with the exception of a few new whiny noises.I wanted to add you might want to get a bigger icemaker, as the ice from this machine comes out wet, and if you scoop it into a drink it melts within minutes. Even for just me, and my seemingly unquenchable thirst, this little machine can just barely keep up and I need to supplement my ice bucket with ice from the freezer.Knowing this now, I would not buy this machine but a bigger one that makes bigger cubes even if it takes longer. The bullet shape of this ice just melts too fast.*** UPDATE THREE MONTHS LATER 8-15-2025 ***Yesterday I found out how important the cleaning is. It runs for about 20 minutes, taking the water from the reservoir and flushing it through the pipes. If you don't clean regular, it's going to stop working. I add 1/4 of mouthwash because it has alcohol in it and it really dissolves the gunk that builds up without being poisonous. Yes, there is gunk in every municipal water source. One cycle is enough, then fresh water and start.This keeps the pump clear of impurities that slow it down and possibly burn out the motor.=========================================First review after seven days new:This is a great ice machine, but not perfect. I was expecting bigger cubes for the big size (there are two settings, small and large). The description is right, you can get about eight cubes in nine minutes, but they quickly melt. A full basket takes about 30 minutes, and when put into a pitcher of room-temp water, it melts in about 15 minutes, and the next batch of ice takes another 30 minutes to refill. The only problem with that is that the ice pusher thingy puts new ice on top of old ice so that it forms about a 45-degree angle and shuts off before the basket is about 3.4 full. To get a full basket, after 25 minutes you have to push the last issue of ice back towards the front to make room to fill the basket.It's a cute little thing, and I will say very quiet operation. yes, I would buy this again, but I would not recommend it for parties or families of four or more as the little guy just cannot keep up.The "large" ice cube is the same size as one of those Hershey's chocolate Easter eggs. The first picture shows a full basket of ice, about 50 minutes to make after the shuffle. Second photo shows the actual size of the large ice cubes, and the last photo shows ice cubes that this machine makes, above that, a medium ice cube from the green-bottom trays here on Amazon, and the large ice cube at the top is a regular sized ice cube like the ones in your freezer ice cube tray (typically 14 cubes).But to be fair, this little Ice machine could not make such large cubes as the top one in only six minutes. So, on really hot days I have to augment my water pitcher with ice from my freezer, where I have 56 cubes at the ready, and those take two hours to refreeze. So again, this machine works well, is very quiet, and makes enough ice to keep one or two drinks cold.The water goes into the reservoir up to the bottom of the basket. Then the basket goes on top of the water, of which the machine quickly draws to make a new batch of ice, about four cups total in 30 minutes. You can let the ice sit there as long as you want, but it will melt back into water, where the machine will just continually go through a ice-water-ice-water perpetual cycle. If you let the finished ice sit there for more than an hour, be warned, it will all come out in one big clump so watch your drinks. The clump does break apart easily, though.Draws very little power, about 175 watts. I keep mine on the kitchen counter behind the dining table. It comes with a cute little scoop, too. Again, very happy with this purchase and yes, I would buy it again.

Almost lasted 2 years and just died. Ordered a different model this time. I guess for the price that's all you can expect. All these cheaper ice makers have the same "bucket, acorn ice, flipper" mechanism and electronics so expect it to work but just for a while. Worked great...hard to clean, but it won't make a difference on longevity.
