I was initially skeptical after reading reviews of short cords, but if you confirm your model and are very patient during disassembly, there should be no issues at all.As I also read in the comments, the system is definitely quieter than it was prior, but I don't know if it's because of this new fan, fresh thermal paste, or extensive cleaning and dusting. Regardless, all of the tools for the job are here.

Perfect replacement for my PS4. I've had to deal with constant oveheating, and the sound of a 747 jet engine in my bedroom for years. I was too afraid to open it up and screw something up, but this was very easy to install and came with all the tools and even the thermal paste. It's so quiet that I can barely even hear it now, and no longer overheats. And so cheap! I'd have gladly paid at least 3 times as much for this result.

I bought it for my PlayStation. 4 to replace the fan works wonderfully. Easy to install and it made my playstation very quiet. I have had no problems with a loud fan since I installed it.

I replaced the fan without even inspecting it trusting the sender just to remove it again because the ps4 still over heated, as i opened the ps4 i notice that a fin was missing... i installed my old one and it worked for 2 minutes untill it got stuck...

Turns out Sony shift a lot of PS4 systems early on with improperly mounted fans (you'll know you have one if it sounded like a hurricane from day one like mine) which I found no mention of online and only discovered when I opened mine up to replace the fan. There were no pads on the fan in the locations where they were supposed to be. The new fan is great but it doesn't come with pads and there isn't anywhere I could find to purchase them so I had to fab my own dampener pads.

Works perfectly fine; cable is a tad bit short so during reassembly be cautious to have the entire length available. got days before the release of back 4 for blood as the original fan had sadly went kaput; great fit and runs just as well. oddly enough thought most games have zero issues with the infamous “ps4 is too hot” on new games such as back 4 blood, destiny and god of war but when fallen order i cant even get past the first loading screen without the fan kicking into hyperdrive and then shutting off. perhaps a bit too much for the aftermarket fan but i digress
