Tramontina Gourmet Premium 18/10 Staineless Steel 16.5-Inch Roasting Pan with Basting Grill and V-Rack

Very nice and versatile if you have a big enough oven. This pan is unusually wide. Make sure your oven has enough depth to take a 14" wide pan.I have a few different pans including All-Clad, Paderno, and Mauviel. All of them are big enough and heavy gauge, heavy duty. The Paderno World Cuisine and the Mauviel are my best roasting pans because of their unbeatable depth and heavyweight. While I love them for their weight, it is not easy to clean them because at their size and heavy weight they are difficult to maneuver for thorough cleaning. We are talking 3-ply construction that is probably bullet proof or suitable as armor. Hence the search for something that is big but lighter for lighter duty.This pan fits the bill perfectly. It is a nice pan quite pretty, deep enough, stainless steel, with the folding handles that was a must for me, and it has two stainless steel racks that seem to be pretty good. It is very well packed right from the factory and I do not think you whould receive it all scratched up because of the racks shifting during transit. The handles are mounted with rivets, they are not spot welded. What I like about this pan in particular is that it is quite light for its size without being flimsy. It does not have the thick metal sheet that my other pans have but it is decent and it is not as heavy as the others. I must clarify that I did select the others to be heavy, so I am not making the comparisons here with regular so-called heavy duty stuff. So I am happy with it.Other things that may matter to you: At the bottom of the pan there is an indentation along the edges around the bottom. Many other pans are constructed with this feature but not all of them have it. I do not care for it but you may do. Also, I do not do deglazing and never use roasting pans on the stovetop, but if I ever did I probably would not use this one.Bottomline: I love it because I was looking for something BIG, DEEP, and NOT HEAVY.

Cat Approved...You know what cats say..."if i fits, I sits"! LOL I love the collapsible handles for storage and it's very sturdy! Probably best for a small turkey. The 16# bird we're making this year fits. Would also work well for a roast beef.

This pan came with 2 racks, of which, the one I really needed was the flat rack to cook up to 4 - 5 eye round roasts for a Christmas meal. This pan was the only one I found which was (1) deep vertically, (2) came with a nice flat rack, (3) 14 inches wide so it would fit far into my small oven to cook more meat with no wasted space, (4) heavy duty enough, and (5) equipped with handles which fold down flat, so they do not take up space in the oven. I have a smaller size wall oven and this pan worked out very well for me. I am sure I will be using the v-shaped rack to cook a turkey this year.

My husband bought this pan for me. We were so pleased when it arrived. This pan is very well made. Very good construction. We used this pan to cook a chuck roast. The pan distributed the heat evenly. My husband and I cook everything from scratch. I know this pan will meet all our needs. Before he purchased a roasting, he looked at several reviews of other popular pans and was very disappointed with the construction of these pans. Customer reviews were very disappointing. When he researched Tramontina he was very impressed. That was it. This was the pan he was going to order. Thank you Amazon

I have not had a chance to use this pan as I did not cook this holiday season. The reason I gave this product 3 star rating is because the pan I received was different than what is shown in the picture. The picture shows that the product has collapsible handles and the pan I received does not have collapsible handles.Having collapsible handles allows for extra space in the oven. If a purchaser is specifically looking for a pan with collapsible handles do not buy this product.

It does a good job. well made. Much less expensive than other more well known models. I use it for prime rib roasts often and love it.
