There is a spigot under the spout cap which can be installed in the water can.
Using for potable water. Rugged, built to last. 20 liters (5 gallons) of water weigh about 40 pounds. Mount or carry this can on a vehicle or psck animal

Good
Nothing to report here. It's exactly what I expect. No leaks.

Good choice for a more lightweight alternative to a metal can
I purchased this to mount on my (small) camper…so weight is a big consideration.I’m happy with it.It fits the Smittybilt jerry can holder perfectly.Unfortunately, mine showed up without a breather vent cap. I have an email out to Wavian asking for a replacement cap. We’ll see if they follow up.I agree with others that the label is a bit of a bear to remove. But, as has also been stated, with a hair dryer and a little patience, it peels right off (see photo). I followed up with (believe it or not) some olive oil on a paper towel to remove the last of the adhesive.Overall I’m pleased, and am considering another for the other side of the camper.

One Star
It leaked water out of filler.

Quality control is not great. Factor the $10 opening tool into the purchase price.
Thought I would get a some Wavian water cans to match my Wavian Jerry cans, which are awesome. Unfortunately, the quality of theses is not what I have come to expect from Wavian. The other reviews are correct: These things leak no matter how much you crank the lid down with your hand, which HURTS because of the spines sticking out of the lid. Another thing I don't like is that the plug, which must be removed before screwing in the spigot, requires the special Wavian Water Can Opener tool to remove (unless you want to make your own or mangle the plug with something improvised). Scepter makes an better military style water can, but these are a bit hard to come by in the USA.Pros:-Cheaper than Scepter when you factor in the purchase price of a Scepter spigot attachment-Seems pretty rugged despite some construction issues-Spigot (included) nests inside lid for storage-Black color good for heating water in the sun-Food grade plasticCons:-Leaks (but easily fixable in one of two ways). See below for fix.-Requires Wavian Opener tool to remove the plug at the bottom-Unlike Scepter, no replacement parts available from Wavian (I asked them)-Water can is different size than the Wavian Jerry can. I really dont know what they were thinking here. Part of the reason I wanted to stick to one brand was due to the possibility of using the same mounting locations on my truck. This is easy enough to verify before purchasing but I failed to do so.-Lid is painful to close tightly by hand.Fix for leaking: It's clear what is causing the leaking. The mouth of the can, where the lid seals, is not flat. There are some raised ridges and bumps from the molding process and Wavian should have sanded these flat before letting these cans leave the factory. Grab a block of wood or something flat to use as a sanding block. With some 400+ grit sand paper and the block of wood to keep it flat, go to town on the mouth of the water can, giving the lid a nice, smooth surface to seal against. Alternatively, buy the Wavian Opening tool for $10 on ebay and just use that to really crank the lid down. You will probably need the tool anyway but you may as well do the sanding as well since its a quick and easy 2-minute fix.

The Water Faucet Needs Improvement - Otherwise I like It
I bought this for my Jeep. I fits in my Jerry Can bumper rack perfectly and looks great. The fill cap doesn't leak at all on mine like some other reviewers have experienced. My only frustration is the faucet design. It's great that the facet stores inside the filler lid when not in use. This keeps it clean and safe from damage. However, once at camp, you have to remove the plug near the bottom of the jerry can and thread in the faucet. The pros: The plug then stores under the lid so you won't lose it. The cons: The facet threads into the hole fine, but won't tighten securely. When you get almost tight enough, it skips a thread and gets looser. The faucet plastic is seemingly soft enough it flexes on it's threads and strips out instead of tightening fully. The issues is not a "deal breaker" as the faucet does not leak water past the threads even though it's not as tight as you'd like. The major frustration it does create is that you now need two hands to operate it. One hand to hold the entire faucet from unthreading and the other hand to open the water flow value (which ironically is quite tight and takes some force). Two hands to operate the value makes it tough to hold whatever you want to dispense water into.If the water faucet value would thread in tight and only require one hand to operate, this would be a 5-start product for me.

It’s okay, but way over priced for what you get..
Leaks, unless modified slightly.Spout that comes with it is worthless.Doesn’t inspire off grid confidence.Looks tacticool but I’ve found much better water storage solutions.
