Yes, it is dishwasher safe as it is made of stainless steel.

I want to know if anyone has used this to cut a pizza?

I never have used it for anything except to mark/slice cheesecakes and pies, but the cutting edges are VERY SHARP. I am very careful about how I store these pie slicers too. They might cut through a pizza, give it a try carefully.

What is the overall diameter of the 6 slice pie cutter?

not sure but I purchased a 6-slice and an 8-slice for parties in our rec hall and they can both be used on an 8" or larger pie plate. works great - only complaint when cutting 30-40 pies is that you have to rinse it off when slicing different kinds of pies.

Can you bake your pie with this in it? (Thinking quiches...different fillings for each slice)

? Not sure. I don't think it would work well in a pie but maybe in a Quiche?
