Bought for a Wednesday night women's Bible study. Arrived on time, in new condition as expected

This book was recommended by an acquaintance. Someone who worked for my husband and knew of some of my struggles. First thing is: Thanks be to the Good Lord that I am a faithful believer and try my best to follow Christ-like principles.This is by far, the best book I have EVER read. It's well written and the on-line studies are great. But the most important piece is; this book "hits me straight between the eyes." It's my life. I thought I was more odd/different than most. Although, those who only new me professionally or as an acquaintance, would never know that I have to work so very hard to socialize and feel accepted. I am a hermit in my personal time. I have long held resentments that I have tried to pray away but, my worldly, stubborn self won't let them go. I have lashed out in anger when a kind word would have made a more impactful statement.This book reminds me to know when to let go and when to "fight for her." (The relationship.)I'm proposing that our women's ministry at a large Church in Houston, use these study materials for a Bible Study. It makes me and probably others face what we have been putting off way to long.My glass is getting to the point of "over half full!"I hope you all enjoy it as much as I have. And BTW: I have ADD and I paid attention to every page of the book!Starting to read for a second time with the study guide!Be encouraged. You are lovable and you are loved!

In her book Uninvited, Lysa Terkurst helps to see that there is a way to process rejection so that even when we face, we can still live loved in the light of God’s grace. Lysa acknowledges that all of us have or will face rejection at some point in our lives, so that we need to honestly admit when we struggle with it. From many personal stories as well as relevant biblical narratives, Lysa helps us see many aspects of rejection, some that we may have never thought of as part of rejection. But we are reminded that even when it seems like the world has cast us aside, that is not what God is doing to us. He is using the difficulties of our circumstances to set us apart. We are reminded even when rejection seems to run us dry, the Lord can and will fill us up in His time, if we turn to Him. We are also reminded that Jesus chose to take the rejection of mankind onto Himself so that we don’t have to be bound by our circumstances. When we are able to embrace that, then we are able to live loved, even when we face rejection. This book is written in a friendly and relevant tone that anyone can find accessible. Lysa speaks powerfully from the wisdom of her own experience as well as integrating that well with truth from God’s word. I purchased this book to use for a women's study with a few friends. From the very start, this book detailed my life, struggles and what steps I can take to better my life and self. This is a great book for a group or individual. I would recommend this book to any women who feels less than and is trying to find her place in this world

This is a wonderful Bible Study! My Bible Study has completed this study for our fall meetings. We loved the DVD because it was filmed in Israel so as topics were discussed, Lysa TerKeurst is actually speaking from places that she is discussing. Her topic is so applicable for a Bible Study and it created wonderful conversations about rejection and hurts that we carry with us. We all left this study feeling encouraged by biblical truths and tips on how to move forward from past hurts. One thing that I wish I had been more aware of prior to this study was that it would be beneficial to get her book, of the same title, along with the Study Guide and video. I had never done one of Lysa TerKeurst's studies before and I wasn't sure if this was necessary. I did purchase the book and I am so glad because it added more depth to the study and was incorporated into the study guide.

I love every book I've read by Lysa TerKeurst, but the main reason I purchased this book and the accompanying study guide is that I am on the teaching team for a group that is completing a study of the book. I really didn't expect it to apply to me personally, because after many years of walking with Christ I am not usually bothered with feelings of rejection. Boy, was I wrong! As I've read and studied this book, God has brought up several things that have happened in my past and completed the healing in these areas that He had already begun. Lysa openly shares the struggles she's faced in her own life, beginning with never feeling accepted by her dad, and shows the path to healing of these hurts through our relationship with Jesus Christ. I highly recommend this book, and if you want to dig deeper (especially if you have access to the outstanding videos available for this study), the study guide is also helpful.

One of her best, Or maybe i just needed the idea, as i was feeling a little "Uninvited". I've read a lot of her books and some of them are excellent but this one was great. i participate quite a bit in the P31OBS on-line products, Facebook postings, Twitter accounts, and others, so maybe the bar is a little high. i find most very good but i liked this one a bit more. the fact that the presenters are ever so bubbly, cheerful and young, not withstanding, i do like them all very much and i do have some favorites and i think Lysa is one of the series best too. I've developed the very bad habit of formulating an Amazon revie while I read, so this one did deserve it's rating of five stars. Thank you very much, Lysa.

Fabulous course this... recommend to anyone who struggles with huge rejections in their life... a real self help...

Great book! I used this as part of a study with women over Lent and we went deep. Lysa has such a way of touching that unspoken yearning in our heart - the one we can build a wall up around to keep people out, and she encourages us to give it to God - what a profound difference that makes in a place of woundedness. I highly recommend this book.

Cant say enough about this life changing book! It’s so relatable and our book club is thoroughly enjoying it!
