Julian of Norwich: The Showings: A contemporary translation

Really well written hook full of beautiful insights and Prayers.

Not really in a position to rate this because I bought it as a gift for a friend, but I have the earlier translation (along with the original text) and value it highly. Apart from the extraordinary contents, it is a privilege to read what is generally believed to be the first published writings by a woman in the English language.

an excellent modern English edition which makes to text very relevant to twenty-first century readers. These mystical writings are enormously helpful to those searching for God in our generation.

Modern twist to Julian of Norwich, but still keeping original feel.

It depends what you want, I prefer an older style, closer to the Mediaeval English.

Just not what I expected in format and content. The fault may be mine rather than the author but disappointed.

This is a wonderful and very insightful read.

I was introduced to her as possibly the first female English writer. Through her words I've a closer relationship with our Savior, Jesus Christ.
