Ceramic Textured Shaving Bowl – Shave Soap & Shaving Cream Dish, Textured for Rich Lather (Black)

Well, my last shaving bowl was just about perfect, except it seemed a little large for just a two-pass shave. I looked at all the reviews about this bowl being too small and yeah, was going to pass on it. Then I realized that they had a large version of the same bowl. Looked at the measurements and it looked good. Click, bought it and waited to see how it would be.Well, it's just about perfect. I like the bumps on the bottom, if not for anything, I know no-one will try to use it for anything to eat out of. Plus it really froths up my Shaving cream perfectly (Maybe those bumps do help that). I don't know if its the size or what it is but my cream seems richer and thicker then in any other bowl, I've tried so far. I'm no expert but I can tell that every shave I've had since I've gotten this bowl, has been smoother and better.

If you like to use a shave brush to shave, you NEED this bowl. It's not cumbersome to hold while you whip up the shaving cream. It has little bumps on the bottom of the bowl to help get that lather going quickly. And it looks really classy sitting on your bathroom counter. Once in a blue moon I'll get enough bathroom time to snag this from my husband's side of the counter and I pretend like I'm a princess in a castle and this is my fine china shaving bowl. It reminds me of something you'd find in the bathroom in a suite on the Titanic.

Some have noted this bowl seems a little small. I would disagree, using some pressure the bumps on the bottom create a lather pretty quick. I do not enjoy lathering in a large tub and would much rather have a smaller quick and efficient lather bowl. This is the perfect size and performs better than expected. Looks great on the counter and works perfect!

Got this shave bowl for my husband. It's a smart looking bowl, has a good amount of weight to it without being too heavy. Perfect size, fits well in the hand and prevents waste and does not take uo much counter real-estate. The bumps on the bottom of the bowl allow my husband to work up a generous lather quite quickly. Great little shave bowl, exactly what I was looking for.

Fragile. Only about $12 but still? There's also the question of the soap advertised along with the dish. Looks like it tapers to the shape of the bowl but it's just like a small hockey puck. Ya, check that picture out again and stop playing games with the consumer!

I'm new to the lathering way of shaving since I found a healthier type of shaving cream without the harmful ingredients, The ceramic bowl has a nice sturdy feel to it and feels good in the palm of your hand. It felt to be a good size to make plenty of lather even though some other reviews felt the bowl was a bit small. I gave it 4 stars because my bowl has a warped area on the bottom where it is pushed out and at that same spot on the inside it is pushed up which has the little raised areas for quick lathering a bit uneven. It's not that noticeable but I noticed it fairly quickly. Otherwise this is a great product for the price and I would recommend it to anyone in search for a nice shaving bowl.

Beautiful bowl but way too small. I bought it for the bumps since my favorite shave soap was ruined as they had to stiffen up the product due to the excessive heat in Amazon warehouses. I thought the bumps would help lather up the new stiff formula. The bowl was so small the lather just climbed up the walls and ran over the sides. A beautiful bowl but I'll have to return it for a larger one.

I purchased the "large" version of this because I read the reviews about the size of this product and have to say that I can't even imagine how small the "regular" version of this product is. The "large" version, while OK, is still actually pretty small. With that said, after using the product, it worked ok in building a lather, but I could only give this 3 stars (meh). Maybe look around for something better.
