Excellent product. very easy to use. I bought a couple years a cheap one and i keep getting error. Highly recommend for those DIY folks in the garage.

Received this as a gift from my wife. Thought I would never use it, BUT as fate would have it, I did almost immediately after receiving it. My sons Check Engine light came on 3 days before inspection was due. Plugged into the cars computer socket. Connector only can go one way (so its idiot-proof). Having never used one before, the instructions were quick and concise. The code revealed it was an EVAP problem. After looking up the code online and seeing possible fixes for his problem, I replaced his gas cap and sealed a loose hose connection to his air-box. The device allowed me to erase the code from the cars computer. After doing so, I had to perform a 75 mile drive cycle (your cars requirements may differ, usually 50-100 miles), the car easily passed inspection. Check Engine light is still off going on 3 months. Make sure you follow the instructions of the device. If it says car ON, it means turn ignition key forward just before starting, NOT BACK for auxiliary. Running means Start the Car. The device will tell you if it can't perform a task and then will ask relevant questions and wait 10-20 seconds before trying again. Don't confuse the opening ABS test/requester with OBD-II. Unit is pricier than similar models, but you get what you pay for.

Works great and easy to use. Description says reads ABS codes. But does not read A BS codes on 2006 Nissan Altima and that is what I needed it for. Description is a little.misleading but still works great on other codes and vehicles.
