Easy to use and accurate

This device can be a little confusing for the user. What we expect to read is often not what our BAC really is. The owner of this company will respond and offer you a fix or money back if you have trouble with it. I originally was going to return it, but after talking about it with him, I am comfortable using it now.2 years later- this product has helped me and others I recommended it to for checking their BAC. It's also quite useful if you have teenagers. It's so easy to determine if they had been drinking and how much. I calibrated the expected BAC many times against the charts and my experiences. This is a great product, lasts a long time - 2 years so far. I would buy again and likely will when these teenagers go to college.11/16 Still going strong and works great. This device provides a great deal of comfort. Just make sure you don't take risks. If you are close to the limit, don't drive.Update 6/4/2017. Still working great and only have replace the calibrator once after 2 years.

Easy to use and seems very accurate. I like being able to change the cartridge instead of sending it in for recalibration.

I cannot say enough good things about this product. 3.5 years ago a close relative got a DUI and it was one of the most humbling and embarrassing moments of their life. Immediately afterward I ordered the AlcoMate REVO to ensure it would never happen again. The product is so accurate that it could be used to check BAC and know that the interlock device that had been placed in the car for two years would not read positive. Now, 3.5 years after the incident and one year since interlock device removal, the product is used every time alcohol is consumed so A vehicle may be operated confidently and safely. Best part is....the sensor requires calibration for the first time, 3.5 years later! Anyway, if you are looking for a breathalyzer that is worth your money and will save your life and that of others then this is the one for you.

I have a definite buzz right now and it registers 0. I blow till it clicks just like the instructions say. If i test immediately after a drink it does register but that's pretty useless.I just got a call from a representative and they are sending me another one to try. You can't beat that. Obviously with anything it's possible to get a bad unit. I'll update this review as soon as I try the new one.EDIT: The replacement works fine as far as I can tell though I have no way to confirm accuracy (knock on wood). However the replacement took quite a while to arrive so I'd recommend just returning and re-ordering if yours doesn't work

I bought this as a safeguard. I just drank 12 ounces of vodka in 2 hours and took the reading after my last drink, no time lapse. It read .087. Come on, this reading, if trusted, would land me in jail. This unit is way off. I would have lost my license to drive if I believed it. I hope I hear from ALCOMATE to explain why it doesn't protect me from another DWI. I either want my money back or a unit that reads correctly. This is not a cheap unit and should be accurate as they are advertised.

This tool is very easy to use and is cheap insurance against any sort of traffic infraction related to drinking. My wife and I and a few friends like to frequent the multitudes of craft breweries here in town and we love being able to know when to call it a night by checking ourselves. Several times we've discovered once back at the car that only one of us is OK to drive home, or that we both need to go back inside, have some water and wait it out until we are well under the limit. We always bring it with us if we think we will have anything more than one drink. Highly recommended and potentially life saving.
