Just what I needed. Perfect for the backyard fire pit.

After buying and using the "log tongs" for several years, I finally broke down and got this pair for my daughter to use in her fireplace. Since I'm usually the "fire chief" at her house, I bought the correct tools to use. Let's face it, if a burning log slips off the grate, or a large chunk of ember falls away, you need these things to correct the situation. I have a wood burning stove at the cabin and I'm quite sure I would not be able to keep the place warm without having them to turn logs, resituate coals and embers and poke the primer back toward the back of the stove to enhance the draught. Nope, couldn't survive out here without them!

I didn't know what I was missing with these tongs. Making moving hot logs around so much easier and my nights by the fire pit so much more enjoyable.

We purchased this item roughly a month ago and have had three fires since then. Worked great for the first fire, but broke with the second. Unable to use for the third. Rivets broke at the bottom so it bends out of shape and no longer grabs
