Excellent recipes. I am not really a baker beyond biscuits and the rare loaf of bread. I was confused by the plethora of pie dough recipes and their specificity.... until I tried one... wow of wow. Delicious and tasty and great recipes.

Great recipes but not a new cookbook
I was very excited to see a new Ken Haedrich cookbook, and I pre-ordered it, as his recipes are fabulous and reliable. However, this is NOT a new book and instead is a re-packaging of the 2015 "Dinner Pies: From Shepherd's Pies and Pot Pies to Tarts, Turnovers, Quiches, Hand Pies, and More, with 100 Delectable and Foolproof Recipes." The recipes are the same, the photos are the same, just re-ordered and with a different title. Shame on Quarto Publishing for not indicating this anywhere in the online description or in the print book itself, which has a 2021 copyright date without any reference to the earlier Dinner Pies book. Reprinting a book is fine, but the publisher should be transparent about it. I would be cautious in buying anything from Quarto Publishing (who bought Harvard Common Press, publisher of the original Dinner Pies in 2016), as you may not be getting original content. Note that (as of Jan 2022), the publisher is incorrectly listed in Amazon as Harvard Common Press; the publisher as listed in the print book is "Voyaguer Press, an imprint of the Quarto Group."That said, I'm still giving the book 5 stars as the recipes are awesome and I make them over and over again. His crust recipes always turn out well, and the fillings are invariably tasty and well seasoned.

NO PICTURES
SO Im a picture person- especially in a recipe book. Inspiration is everything, right? But this book seems well written and the recipes look good. Its certainly value for the price point. Author walks you through making pie crust and recipes collection is wide range

Love pot pies and great recipes.
Whether savory or fruit or cobblers I like to think I can prepare and store to pull out and cook or heat up for holiday guests.

Lots Of Interesting Recipes
I love making and eating pot pies. I wanted seafood or vegetarian pot pie recipes for vegan members of my family. My husband who is a retired chef found many recipes that he found interesting. I especially liked the author’s stylus.

Delicious, reliable recipes!
I have made 4 recipes from this book - the tourtiere, beef pot pie, cheeseburger pie, and a quiche. I also made the tourtiere and beef pot pie for friends. I'm sure I will try more, but the book is worth it to me for these 4 recipes alone. Very good!

Absolutely SENSATIONAL
What could be better than a savory pie with a delicious flaky crust ?The author is an absolute expert in this genre. One fabulous pie after another.His crust recipes are exceptional and so easy.Every recipe I’ve tried has turned out to be a winner.Fabulous!!!!!!!

Not so great...
The quality of the book itself is good, not damaged and nicely coloured. However, there aren't many pictures at all. It's very boring in my opinion and as it has some good recipes it's quite disappointing.

Wish the book was just a reprint of the original!
I compared this book with the original 2015 hardcover edition. This book contains less recipes than the original. Some minor updates regarding the best equipment to use but the recipes and photos are the same with some excluded. The content is 5 stars!
