Excellent Charger - Passed Every Test I Put It Through
For my review of the Regetek 3- Port car charger, I will not focus on the advantages of having a 3 Port charger such as it can charge your , your partner's and a third device like a Powerbank or GPS simultaneously etc. - You already know that. Instead I will put it through a multitude of tests to make sure its worth the money and meets its advertised claims while charging your devices safelyVOLTAGE STABILITY TEST:This is a very important as any charger applying Under Voltage or Over Voltage to your device can stress it's internal components causing increased wear and tear.In my tests with one, two or three devices this Charger held the output voltage rock steady at 5.01V to 5.04V (see pics). This is a very good result indeedResult : PASSSmartID TESTFor this test I wanted to determine if the SmartID port detected the devices connected to it accurately and supplied the rated current for it. As you can see in my pics and results below this charger performed very well and provided near max currentIphone 5s - Supplied Current: 0.92 A , Manufacturer Rating : 1 AGalaxy S6 Edge : Supplied Current : 1.68A , Manufacturer Rating : 1.69 AGalaxy Tab A : Supplied Current : 1.72 A , Manufacturer Rating : 2.0 AResult : PASS100% CHARGE STOP TEST:Another important requirement of a good quality charger is to stop charging (reduce its power output to a bare minimum) your phone/device after its fully charged -As you can see from my pics, this charger performed better than my OEM Charger when my phone was fully charged . Little powerhouse!
I received this product free of charge for evaluation and review purposes. This does not have any bearing or impact on my honest opinion.I received this product earlier today and as you can tell from the photos, it was well protected. After removing it from the package and giving the item a thorough inspection, the product appears to be of good quality. You'll notice that it has 3 USB inputs and the power rating for each is listed directly under each port, all of which are embedded into a smoothly machined aluminum head. I had no issue fitting it into either a cigarette lighter socket or the secondary auxiliary socket.I am also assuming that as most chargers do, there is a replaceable fuse located withing the housing of the charger.Final thoughts, It is a very capable device and can even keep a stable charge on my very power hungry overclocked octo-core tablet, which can use it's entire battery life within 4 hours of a full charge. This little fella kept it fully charged for an entire trip of heavy use. Am I impressed? Very. Would I recommend it to like-minded people, indeed I will.
