Outstanding Laptop value for the money
This is an excellent value for a refurbished laptop. These laptops are obviously previously used business machines that came off of lease and are a few years old. However, it still has a very capable Intel I5 processor, 8 GB's of RAM and a decent speed internal bus. These machines are built to business standards and take abuse. It has a full metal chassis with a really nice light aluminum finish.he machine I received looked like new but had a hard drive that went bad during my installation. This wasn't the seller's fault and probably worked fine when they tested it. The seller was more than responsive and I received a replacement drive in just two days. They even paid to send the defective one back. I planned to put a Solid State drive in it anyway so the internal hard drive was only used for backup. What's really nice about these machines is you can upgrade and replace just about everything by sliding a metal plate off the bottom of the machine with no tools. Most new laptops today require to you disassemble the case or keyboard to access any of these components. The keyboard and mouse pad are also awesome on this machine. There are some minor negatives, but not worth taking a star off for the price paid. The screen resolution is only 720P, but for a 14 inch display, its adequate with a crisp bright image. This machine came loaded with Windows 10 but doesn't have a driver for the finger print scanner nor is there a driver available for the modem, but who uses those today anyway? The image that came with the hard drive had the HP drivers already installed, but because I had to do a fresh install of Windows 10, I had to find quite a few drivers on HP's site. (HP does not have Windows 10 native drivers, but the Windows 8.1 driver worked just fine)Other than those minor niggles, this is an excellent machine for the money which rivals new machines costing many times more. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a well built laptop.

VERY DISAPPOINTED!
Disappointed is an understatement. This was received unusable until I got product support from Amazon on the line who then had to transfer me to HP consumer who then had to transfer me to HP commercial! This is a commercial unit. When out of box it wanted userid and password! What?? ZERO paperwork came with it AND battery won’t charge! Finally after an hour on phone, I had to do a RESET on it, which took 4 hours! It is now where it SHOULD have been out of the box at the Welcome screen and ready for initial setup! NOW I have to get a NEW battery for it, it will not even power up after being plugged in all night to a known good outlet!! Digging deeper into this, it is a commercial laptop and is 10 years old! 10!! So frustrating! DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE. You have been warned.

1st time buying refurbished, happy I did.
I bought this because I needed a 2nd, more up to date laptop. This really fits the bill. I can't rate the longevity of the product, as it literally arrived today. This is the first refurbished product I have purchased. It arrived on the day of the early window given for delivery. It could have been here sooner, but that is the shippers fault, not the seller. It sat 2 hours away for almost 3 days. The packaging was very good and secure. Everything arrived in the box as promised. Set up was simple and painless. My primary computer still runs Vista, and generally works well. Windows 10 is very new to me, but it seems intuitive. The programs that weren't working on my Vista machine, are working flawlessly on the Elitebook. Internet is fast, graphics are crisp and clear. I'm very happy I made this purchase. I like that the laptop feels heavy duty. I haven't tried everything out, but it looks like a brand new computer. I'd recommend this computer to anyone. You get great bang for your buck. I was hesitant to order refurbished, but I'm very happy I did. Compared to buying new, I got more computer for less money. If any issues arise, I'll edit this comment.

Graphic isn't that great for gamers
Laptop was a great buy for the price and for someone doing everyday simple use. The downside was the graphics isn't that great for gaming and lags very badly won't recommend for gamers at all. The trackpad also kept popping out since it came and didn't sit properly in place, 2 letters on keypad no longer worked and I had to purchase a new keypad and replace after about 6 months but works fine now. Battery life last for about 4 hours after full charge but when switched off and turned back on after sometime to use again it seems as if the battery life is lower than where you left it when you switched it off, that's weird to me.

Good for the basic, not for the high tech stuff.
So the computer wasn’t love. I bought it for my 9 year old for Christmas and we had some issues. We couldn’t get microphone to work forever therefore issues with virtual online schooling. He wanted to use it to play fortnite and despite its faster processor, didn’t hold up to the test at all. It wouldn’t even let him download. And we tried for days.Thickness was great. I wanted something heavy duty that I wouldn’t be worried about him breaking. It def wins in that Dept.Value for money. I’m sure it’s a great computer for emails and basic essentials but anything more then that. I’d prob pass on it.Graphics were decent. But it’s an older computer so take that into consideration.I wasn’t a huge fan of the latching feature on it when it’s closed. I thought I’d actually like that but it proved to be more of a pain in the butt then anything else.Volume control button is weird. You gotta hold down the shift button to do it.Overall. I’m returning it. I’m sure it’s a great computer for an office setting. But not for a pre teen whose super tech saavy. He wanted it to record YouTube videos and the in house camera was subpar.I will however give credit to the company though. They were quick to try to offer help or tech support. And they authorized a refund slip to send back the laptop. Now I’m just waiting on the refund. But overall. Service was great.
