You definitely get what you pay for. It does record at 1080p but the software interface leaves a lot to be desired and the motion sensing at night is horrible. The only reason I give it two stars is because it was $99. I use to have a Q-See system and it was exponentially better. If you can afford a Q-See I recommend that instead.
