Aria Finds Her Voice

A wonderful story about overcoming shyness and finding out who you really are. Aria is a lovely character and my daughter enjoyed following her journey of self-discovery. I believe she found it easy to relate to this shy little girl, and I hope the book helped her become more confident in herself.What a great story! Meet Aria, a shy little girl who goes on a journey like no other. On this journey, she will end up collecting symbolic gifts in the form of feathers. In truth, these gifts represent exactly what she needed: strength, confidence, happiness, and trust. What a clever idea! I love books that send a deep message, helping children believe in themselves and see how magical they truly are.We often look at picture books as simple, but they almost always have an empowering effect. My daughter fell in love with Aria and we had a lovely talk about feeling confidence and accepting your true self. With lovely illustrations and subtle sensitivity, the author shows what it is like to be a shy child in a world that promotes loudness above all else.Throughout the book, the author has sprinkled powerful affirmations, which can help children feel more confident. Centered on the topic of shyness, this lovely story encourages our little one to shine and I love that. It delivers positive messages on self-awareness and mindfulness, and I believe it could help all children who struggle with shyness.

What can I say? Lovely illustrations and prose with a delicate sensibility on what it is like to be a shy child in a world of non-stop chatter and noise. The premise is a young girl is overlooked and, often left to her own devices in a silent bubble as she feels to shy to say what she likes, what she wants to do or even how she feels. She embarks on a path to 'find her voice' and what I especially like about this book is that it incorporates the concept of mindfulness. Ariel is told that being silent and just feeling yourself grow calm is also part of finding one's voice. Well done to the author and illustrator. I look forward to seeing their next book.

We loved this sweet story. Such a beautiful way to share encouragement and confidence in children when needing to find their own voice. Aria’s journey is filled with imagination when she meets some feathered friends to help her along her way. She discovers some powerful affirmations that gives her the strength to share her own voice and fill her heart with all the things she truly is. So wonderful for the mental confidence we want for our children. Highly recommend!

This book touched my heart. A very sweet buildup of a story using feathers given by representatives of certain skills/intentions to the main character. I love the color palette which also represents a soft sweetness. Children are tender when shy. I think the author was brilliant to meet that shyness with a sweet tender story and to so encourage the beauty in each child to shine out brightly. Highly recommend.

Having been a shy child myself, I was drawn to the topic of this book. Lovely illustrations and a storyline that feels slightly magical, take the reader along Aria's journey as she collects words of advice ( and feathers from a variety of birds that she meets along the way), on finding her inner strengths. A gentle way, perfect for young readers, to introduce the concept of inner mindfulness.

As someone who struggled with shyness as a child, I thought this book was a beautiful reminder for children to be comfortable with who they are and think positively about themselves. The whimsical illustrations are absolutely lovely and the characters are friendly and easy to connect with. As a teacher and mama of two, I think this book is a perfect addition for every bookshelf!

I loved how the author tied the various birds into the qualities of strength, confidence, happiness, etc. Very cute illustrations and storyline. I also liked how the book touched on the value of silence -- being as important as the voice itself. More people need to learn the skill of listening and meditation.

A unique and creative way to help children find their voice and overcome shyness with the help of some feathered friends! Being shy myself growing up, and also having a very shy child, I know how painful it can be. To have a book where the character is so relatable can be really helpful! I love how the author used feathers as a reminder of the encounters and wise words of each of the birds that Aria encounters on her journey. The illustrations are also delightful. I would highly recommend this book!

This book is absolutely beautiful! When I read the description I just knew I needed to add it to my collection. I actually got this book to read to my future children because I’m a shy person, as is my partner so I didn’t want to miss out on the opportunity of getting this as I think it will be really beneficial. I wish I had something like this when I was little, it would have really helped me have a better understanding of myself.The book is beautifully written and the illustrations work wonders with the story. I love the cut out paper effect Kylie has used throughout and think it’s a perfect match for such a sweet and heartwarming story.Also just a note to anyone buying this book from the UK, I ordered this at the start of May and it said it wouldn’t be delivered until the end of June, that day came and Amazon then said it was undeliverable so I never received it. They refunded me the money so I ordered it again and it arrived the next day. I’m not sure what Amazon are doing or whether it’s a problem getting the stock in but please don’t let the delivery date put you off (I checked multiple times and it seemed to change every time I looked) as it’s a great book and was worth the wait.

This is a photo of my nursery bear introducing this book to the children. I really like this book. The message is about being confident and happy with who you are. The illustrations are also gorgeous. This was a delight to share at school. There is also a lovely song to go with the book that can be purchased on the authors website. I highly recommend this book.

Love that it teaches kids the value of speaking up and the value of silence. To be fair, I got the book for myself as an adult and i love reading it loud to myself.😀

What a lovely story . An easy read , with beautiful characters and it will definitely give confidence to children who are lacking in it . I highly recommend this author and love all her previous books.

I highly recommend this book to anyone with a child that needs encouragement to see their own inner strengths and beauty.
