I ordered one to use as a ceiling mount for a fixed camera position. It arrived quickly (Thank you desertcart Prime!) and just in time for a video shoot. It's really easy to set up and what amazes me is that cranking one knob locks all the ball joints firmly in place. My impression is that this mounting system was thought out be someone who might actually use it. The camera I used for this shoot weighs about three pounds and the Uyodm had no trouble holding it in place. Don't go nuts and try to hang a big Sony broadcast camera on this mount. There shojuld be no trouble with any camera under five pounds although I haven't tested that. For the money, these mounts are sweet. I ordered several more. For the record, I'm not paid nor am I influenced by anyone when I write reviews for desertcart.

I use two of these to mount Aida HD-100 POV cameras. They are strong enough to hold the cameras vertically but it's a little hard to lock down the horizontal settings.
