Bought this to find studs for attaching a bunk bed to the wall (for stability). This was a very good price and simple to use. Only drawback was it use a 9V battery which I had to go and buy, would be better if worked off AA batteries. If you’re looking for something for a one-off job or only occasional use this definitely does the job

Successfully helped me to locate roof beams for hooks. Simple to use although the grip makes it slightly hard to hold the button down while moving around. A locking button would be better.

Bought to help fit a bracket to a painted ceiling, wanted to find the beam to screw in a square bracket. This device found the beam for me but wasn't accurate enough at showing where it started and ended, leading to 2 of my drilled holes missing the beam entirely.If you only need to place one screw/nail then this would do the job but wasn't great for my needs.

Thought it might be too good to be true, turns out I was right. Gives a reading in one area, so I mark it & come back to double check & then there’s no reading. It then gives a reading just next to where I marked, but again upon checking, it doesn’t - absolute waste of time

So easy to use straight from the box and I found it very accurate.

Found studding in a wall so I could hang a tv. Cheap but did the job.

The media could not be loaded.  This unit works pretty good. I have no complaint on it. It feels a bit cheap but again it works very good. If you take care of it and don’t drop it it should last a long time.

The media could not be loaded.  Simple easy to use.Doesn't come with the 9V battery, need to buy seperatly.Instruction manual says to put it on the wall and push-hold the side button, the red light will beep twice, to confirm its calibrated.Now while keep holding the side button, slide it along the wall.Once the stud is detected, the all the lights will light up and it will beep to confirm.
