We bought this to put in my daughters hair in the evening so she can have curls for school in the morning. First, it does work, and she sleeps just fine with it on her head. Very comfortable. Her curls are beautiful in the morning and we watched a video that showed us how to use it. That made putting it in very simple. We have very thick hair, and in order for our hair to dry while using this product our hair has to be barely damp before we put it in. If your hair is any more wet than that it doesn't dry and the curls fall out after a few minutes.We would also recommend buying a mousse to put on your hair before you put the curling rod on for the night.

I bought this for me 10 yo daughter so she can stop using heat on her hair when she wants it curled. She has straight thickish hair and it is long past the middle of her back. She tried it right away on dry hair that she misted with water, and left it in about two hours just to see what happened. It worked! Flowy beach waves as advertised! I would have given 5 stars, but it is a little tricky wrap, and she was uncomfortable laying down in it. I think she will try it overnight for school after Christmas break.

I get the concept, and when done correctly, and with the right kind of hair, it works. The problem is doing it correctly lol. The satin band thingy holds no weight at all, so It slides all over the place and won't sit still as you're wrapping hair on either end. I'm guessing that's what the giant clip is for? But it's only big enough to wrap around the band, and it's not "grippy" enough to grab any hair along WITH the band, so it doesn't even secure it on your head. If you DO get it to sit on your head long enough to wrap your hair around the ends just make sure your hair is slightly damp or still really hot from drying. Leave it on until it dries or cools, or a min of 2 hours,and you should be good to go. DO NOT go to bed with it, you'll just waste your time , sleep uncomfortably, and wind up with flat hair. I tried it when my Hair was down past my boobs and it worked well, but then i cut it to just past my collar bone and now it only curls the ends, giving me curly sue vibes that I'm just not here for. My hairs thin, oily, And naturally curly, but the curls from this fall flat fast. but that's prob more of a "my hair" problem since it's shorter now and kinda fried at the ends (but healthy at the roots). I used this thing a few times for maybe a week or 2 but i eventually got tired of struggling with it and tbh the satiny fabric flattens most of my hair against my head more than anything so it just sits in my hair tools drawer now. I found it worked the best when I put it on AFTER fully blow drying my head, putting it on while my hair was still hot,, and letting it sit as I got the rest of me ready. Thats really the only time it worked really well. Overnight or damp hair was just a mess. Wish I could've returned it but by the time I decided I didn't want it it was too late.

DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER THIS PRODUCT!!!The product came with so many red flags, but I wanted to give it a chance. First, the package came in already open. The package was slit down fully on one side already when delivered. The next red flag was that the product itself came with a horrendous chemical smell. They advertised "no peculiar smell" in the description, but I smell peculiar and disgusting. I absolutely cannot handle the smell of any of it. Another sign was that the product I received was nothing like I was expecting. I received all four components, but each of them do not meet my expectations. The curling wand does not have a pearl on each end like other review photos show. The material that the wand and scrunchies are made of is NOT silk. It does not feel as smooth as silk does, but has a rougher texture. My wand itself has tiny white hairs/threads already coming out of it and I received it today. Upon closer inspection, my wand is not stuffed evenly either. Each end is a different size from the other and half of the wand is thicker than the other half. This will not produce even curls AT ALL. The scrunchies feel like plastic. There is no stuffing in them, only air and even then it is not that much air. Because there is no stuffing/air filling the scrunchie, I can feel how rough and cheap the material is. The hair clip itself is opaque and looks like something you can purchase in a pack at the dollar store. I don't know if the product I received is just an outlier from the rest or tampered with due to the opened packaging, but I would NOT purchase this product again nor would I recommend it to a friend. If anything, this experience has ruined this type of heatless curling wand for me again. I have yet to even try the product out due to how disappointed I am. I do not want to put this product in my hair in fear that the smell will transfer to my head and/or my bed.
