Nearly Natural8.5in. Bonsai Silk Plant Collection (Set of 3)

When I received these, I was disappointed. But I realized later that was because I always have real plants and wasn't used to fake plants.I put the more realistic of the three in my own little planter on the coffee table. It replaced a dying small tree. I was still disappointed at this point.BUT later that evening my husband was sitting very close to the plant and he scolded our cat for trying to eat it. (Our cat does eat our plants, but in this case she was probably trying to figure out what this funny plastic thing was !). My husband said he didn't want her killing the tree. So, at this point I was not disappointed. I was thrilled. My husband thinks it's real. I love it. Now that I have seen it over a few days' time, I realize it's perfect. It looks real. And it's the same color as the real six foot tree in the corner. Not disappointed at all.

They don't look overly fake & are definitely NOT junk. The closer you look & the brighter the light, the more you will see flaws but even then, I am satisfied as only real plants look real unless you pay an arm & a leg so at this price point they are worth the buy. I can visually see areas where the leaves are capped on to the branches & I think the pots could be of a little better quality but the plants stand up well on their own & I even questioned whether the dirt was real inside of them as I had to touch it! At the right lighting & from a few feet away you'd think they were real!

Are you considering buying these? Let me save you the $13 you are about to waste and describe the experience that awaits you:When the shipment arrives and you open the box, you are greeted by the chemical aroma of recently cast plastics and low-quality paint. As you pull each of the three artificial bonsai plants from the box, you quickly realize why the product photo is provided at such low resolution above. You've seen better artificial plants at the dollar store. The foliage is poorly cast plastic, NOT silk, and although three varieties are provided, their identical coloring and artificial luster spoil any illusion of plant life, even from a distance. They look even tackier if placed in proximity to one another, as they share an identical casting of a uniquely shaped trunk and root assembly. Viewing them from above reveals a ridiculous root structure that terminates well above the soil layer rather than sinking into it. Viewing them from below reveals the large plastic bulbs connecting the foliage and trunk sections. Lifting them reveals that the pot is not ceramic as you had hoped, but rather light-weight plastic that's been painted black. Setting them down again reveals that the paint was so poorly applied that it's now been transferred to your fingertips.Staring at them in disappointment, you breathe a sigh of relief (and unpleasant chemical aroma) because you ordered them on Amazon, so you can at least return them for free. But wait -- you bought them ON Amazon, but not FROM Amazon. You bought them from a different seller, who is not only planning to deduct the cost of return shipping from your refund, no, they are about to charge for the cost of shipping it to you in the first place. Remember, that so-called 'free' shipping? If only you had read the fine print!

From a little distance they look real. I have them on bookshelves in my home office and from a few feet away they look real. When you get within a foot of them you start to notice the plastic-ness. I would definitely suggest them. I only took off one star because one of them has a big scratch along the pot portion of it so for that one I turned it around and have it against the wall so the scratch isn't visible.

Great quality for the price, very cute additions to my rooms. You can tell they're fake, and each tree trunk and base is the same for all the trees which really subtracts from the believably. However for the price they are beautiful and I would definitely buy them again if my house were to burn down and I lost all my possessions and needed something for decor in the hotel room I was living in.

I moved into my first home and needed something small to spruce up some of my rooms. I have always enjoyed bonsai trees, but did not have the time or knowledge to keep proper care of real ones. I stumbled upon these and am extremely happy with my purchase. They look great in any room, I have one in my dining room, living room, and bedroom. Just about everyone who has seen them ask if they are real, that's how well crafted they are. Also, the fake dirt isn't loose, so if you tip them over no need to panic, nothing is falling out! My only gripe with everything was the shipping, they were just tossed in a box with no wrapping, allowing them to freely tumble on their way here. Fortunately they are so sturdy there was no damage.

Two of the three of these look pretty fake, the other is more realisitic. I gave them to my 17 year old son who is into things Japanese but would probably not be patient enough to care for a real bonsai. They do look good in his room, the more fake looking ones are up higher on shelves as some reviewers suggested. They give a nice feel to the room, and he will be taking them to college next year. I am happy with the purchase.

Three totally different trees, very well designed. The faux roots are just aove the ground, and look quite realistic. I had the little pine bonzai on my coffee table, and when my firend came over, sitting only a few feet from it, she asked if iteas real! When I told her it was artificial, she complimented me on how realistic it looks. Great collection for this price!

While it did arrive on time and in good condition, they are smaller then first anticipated and not very realistic.

The title of the item implies it is silk so you make the order. When it comes its plastic as described in the specs. The title is misleading

not as real looking as they say but still pretty good.
