Absolutely love this stool. High quality & durable. My husband spray painted it black to match my black iron & white marble table. I’m using it for a makeup area. I posted a picture with the stool as it came unfinished & then painted black. Love the slight curve & rounded edges. Hopefully the pictures show you what it looks like.The bench was delivered on time & packed perfectly secure.I’m 100% pleased with this purchase!!

I needed a stool for my bedroom to use to put on socks and shoes. A few weeks ago I bought a different piece from Amazon that I had to put together. I weigh 195, and each time I sat on it I thought it would collapse. So then I found this stool. It comes assembled, it's quite sturdy and well put together, and though it's unfinished, it looks great. I may not finish it. This is one of the most satisfactory buys I've made on Amazon. Price is very reasonable, delivery was spot on. Couldn't be happier.

I actually needed a chair-height (18 inch) stool for my bedroom. I've got Red Oak cabinets, backboard and mattress platform with drawers. However, I chose Honey/Satin for the finish on the stool because I'm getting new furniture soon. Honey is a nice neutral color that will go very well with many wood colors. This stool is a downright bargain that is well well worth the wait to get when it's delivered from the East Coast to the West Coast. The stool is fully assembled and sanded very smooth. I lightly used Fine steal wool all over before applying Varathane's Stain + Poly finish, and once again before a second coat. Contrary to some reviews, it's my impression that there is no clear coat on the wood...right out of the box. This is pretty much a no-brainer DIY project that will delight and serve for years to come.

Bought this particular stool for use in my glass studio, as it looks very sturdy and scored very high reviews from consumers. Positives: Product arrived very fast...three days shipping, (without using Amazon Prime) and fully assembled. High quality hardwoods were used and the sandlng/finish well done. Basically a sturdy well designed stool, however there are a few exceptions that need to be mentioned. Negatives: Stool has one short leg and does not sit on the floor properly without wobbling (very annoying). I moved in several differnt rooms and then measured the legs...bingo! One leg shorter by 1/4". Fix: put a plastic furniture pad under the defective leg. Another leg has a slight chip on the bottom no biggie as it is not going to be used in a family area, albeit a glass studio. But the most annoying thing of all is that the chair is NOT 24" high, only 23" (measured to the top of the seating area) which is a tad short for my workbench. Not going to bother to return, as I am sure the freight will be half the cost of the stool. Will use for "something". Three star rating due to short leg and short overall stool height versus what was advertised. Buying another unfinished wood stool from a different manufacturer listed on Amazon and we will se how that goes.

This seat came fully assembled but in good condition. There was a sticker that was tough to get off from the underside of the seat, but oh well.I finished this real unfinished hardwood piece with a clear AFM Safecoat sealant. Very nice. Would recommend.

For the price on this, I totally expected some flat packed piece that would be around Ikea quality. But then this giant box arrives with a fully assembled solid wood stool that is durable and very sturdy. I'm so impressed with the quality on this and it has far exceeded my expectations of what I would get and feels like a total bargain.I figured I would need to paint the stool to potentially help smooth off rough edges but no, it's beautifully sanded down so it's satin smooth. You could paint or stain it if you wanted but honestly it looks great as it is.It's the prefect size stool for my little entryway nook for putting on shoes. And it's totally sturdy enough I don't feel like it's going to collapse under an adult's weight (which I honestly was concerned with after seeing the weight limits on many of the entryway benches I'd seen).My only, very minor, negative comment would be the packaging could have been slightly better. It was literally a stool in a box and that's it. The seat of the stool had been wrapped in plastic to protect the corners, but there was no padding of any kind in with the stool. Which on one hand was pretty eco-friendly and I guess does mean it as kinda helps prove how durable it is that it was still pristine condition despite all that?

After reading the many excellent reviews on this stool, I decided to buy 3 for my hunting lodge. I am VERY happy and surprised at the outstanding quality of this 18" wooden stool. It sits firm with no wobble whatsoever. It's kind of heavy, which I really like. It's comfortable and the seat has a bit of a bow that makes it nice to sit while I put on my boots. The stickers on the bottom indicate that it was made in Thomasville, NC, USA, which is a bonus to me. I would highly recommend this item for any person who is looking for this type of stool. The price is amazingly inexpensive for the obvious quality of the item.

I had one of these stools that I bought from an unfinished store that closed before i could pick up a second one. This is a perfect match. It's very sturdy and comfortable to sit on. I use it by the front door to put my shoes on (I'm older). It doesn't take up too much space and I will paint it white eventually. The legs are level so there's no wobbling. I wouldn't say it's as comfortable as an upholstered dining chair but it's good for short term seating. I really like it.
