Electro-HarmonixBass Soul Food Bass Distortion Effects Pedal

I got this pedal when I was playing a Warwick with a fairly soft tone; at the time I played in a very heavy band and needed to get through three guitars, and this really helped. Now I play a Rickenbacker and this pedal really brings out the bright and midrange, and gives it a beautiful grind. I love it. It's warm and subtle.Two issues: first, when I removed the back to put a battery in, it was very difficult to screw it back into place. It's still not in properly, although the functionality is not affected in any way. More of a cosmetic issue.The second is a bit more serious. There is an extremely loud pop when I stomp it which gets worse as time passes between stomps. If enough time passes, and I am unable to mute the amp mid-song, it's extremely loud.Other than that it's great.

Suona poco e davvero troppo trasparente, in genere non mi piacciono i drive aggressivi preferisco un po' di colore ma senza eccessiva distorsione ma questo è davvero troppo leggero. Per di più il pulsante di accensione è rumorosissimo al punto che l'ho restituito

I looked at several models before buying them. I wanted something transparent with a character that was not aggressive and aggressive in terms of frequencies. So I opted for Ehx bass drunk food. After some adjustments I made an excellent choiceI like the sound that is a bit fuzz-like and the "blend" knob works great keeping the real texture of the clean bass sound.Very satisfied. Recommended for bass players who want a good overdrive sound without lost all frequencies ...very nice

Ho iniziato a comprare pedali e ho poi saputo che Electro-Harmonix stesse cacciando chicche in questa fascia di prezzo. Sono stato contento di aver fatto incetta, senza di lei, per avere la stessa qualità, avrei speso anche il doppio. Certo magari un professionista non riempirebbe la sua pedaliera con prodotti di questa fascia di prezzo ma per me che suonavo amatorialmente vanno più che bene!

Pedal sounds fantastic. It's a real game changer for my tone. I use this pedal as a clean boost when I need more volume for solos, or even when I go down to my low B string and just really want to boost the hell out of my low end. I use the distortion settings in my prog metal band, and it really helps me get that grit I want while still retaining clarity. The Treble knob is very useful and helps me cut through. All in all, very happy with the product.However, when this item was shipped to me, all I received was a power supply and manual, they forgot to actually include put the pedal in the box! They were very polite and offered great customer service in regards to actually sending me the pedal once I addressed it, but was still rather unimpressed being shipped an empty box. Thats why 4/5 and not 5/5
