Amazing location technology
I bought 4 of these making sure they were the +'s. I used 2 on my pitties collars, 1 on my keys, and threw one in the trunk of my car. First off, the battery life is HORRIBLE and I mean really bad. I was going through batteries at the rate of about 1 per month per device. (Not pressing the buttons for sound or beeping them to find them, this is just straight run time.) That's my only complaint and it caused me to quit changing batteries in the one in the car and the one on my keys. The ones on my dogs collars lasted through the dogs themselves (rough players) a toddler, the swimming pool (daily for the summer) and they STILL worked l. They still reflected in Smart Things and it felt cool to look at the GPS mat on them I the back yard but I really felt like I had wasted a god amlount of money and I thought, oh well they were fun and moved on. A couple months went on and knew the batteries on them were dead and I finally had ordered more and changed them to find that one had quit working. In said screw it and removed them form the dogs and threw the last reaming one in the junk drawer. One day my nephew (quite young to be out alone still) wanted to go to the neighborhood park. I let him but I requested that he take the tag with him (I didn't change that battery for nothing lol.) It became routine for him to take this device with him as he started venturing out into the neighborhood alone. I had them for about 3 more months before I finally ACTUALLY used one. He was supposed to be riding his scooter to the park to play football with friends. It got late and he doesn't coming home. When dark arrived of course we panicked and I jumped in the truck completely forgetting about the tag and drove the 17 seconds to the park. Kids are playing football but he's not there. Instantly I thought, it got dark and he got lost on the way home. And then I remembered the tag. I sat in the truck, got my phone out and pulled up Smart Things, and began scanning for the device. Inger a notify that it was located by an Android device and was given a GPS location. It was still in the subdivision and not to far away. I head toward the location and the app is still searching. Within 250 ft or so (a GOOD amount of distance from where it was) the indicator on the app changes. Showed a green bar that filled as I got closer. It was dark, I couldn't see anyone around but the locator said I was within 20ft so I stopped and got out. Got it to within 5 ft and it let me use the camera to locate it further. It gave me arrows toward where the device was, eventually finding it in the grass, bright red lanyard attached. Terrified, I called the house to find out he was rolling up at that moment.A good buy but be ready with a stash of batteries

I lost my keys a few days ago. The SmartTag+ helped me find them
I own both the SmartTag and SmartTag+. The trade-off is battery life vs. having the assistance of UWB technology to pinpoint the location of a tag when I am getting very near to it. The SmartTag battery lasts nearly a year, while the SmartTag+ battery only lasts a few months. The SmartTag is also $10 per tag cheaper than the Plus version. Frankly, I'm torn as to which one I prefer more. The UWB assistance is helpful, but I'm not sure that it is essential. If I'm close enough to use that feature, then I am also close enough to activate the alarm on the tag and I'm close enough to hear it. So, I'm leaning towards the basic SmartTag for any future purchases as I do like the battery life. But only time will tell if the UWB enabled SmartTag+ proves its worth for the extra cost. I'm happy with both versions.I did lose my keys earlier this week, leaving them on a desk in another office in my building. I was too far away from my phone to connect to the tag from my office, but wandering down the hall the phone did get close enough to connect to the tag and "Search Nearby" feature led me right to my keys.I love the feature that allows me to make my phone ring by double-pressing the connected SmartTag button. I also use the feature that sends me a text alert if my phone and a tag lose connection. If I leave home without my "man purse", I will be notified that I left my bag behind before I get more than a block away.

Samsung Galaxy SmartTag+
Oh I love these. Although more expensive then Air-tags, since I have a Samsung this was a no brainer. I originally used it for my luggage, but now I use it on my car keys because..... and it is great. There have been times I just misplaced them and very easily I can get close then rign them and there are my keys. Well made and accurate.

Great for tracking personal items.
I use these in my toolboxes. I can track my bags, for example, at the airport. That way, I know when to go to the baggage claim area when I reach my destination.Battery life is excellent. When it gets in the red, you have about two months to change the battery. FYI

Pleasantly surprised with its performance. No more lost keys or phone in the house.
Have one in each of my key chains, and hidden in each car. Helps you find your keys or your phone in the house. Surprisingly good performance in tracking your car. It's not a real time minute but minute updating tracking, but would come in handy in the case of your car stolen. When traveling, I use them in my luggages.

When they work, they work well
I orderd two of these one for keys and one wallet. After about 3 months one quit working. I replaced that bettery and would not activate or even power up. There is very limited support on these.
