Not cheap but worth having in your tools set !!!
It works great and helps to save so much time, but you still need Fish tape Wire Puller.Magnets are very strong, but if you have floor board and molding on the wall it's not strong enough to pull the magnet with the roller, that's why Fish tape Wire Puller is need to have.Magnepull works great on the dry wall and makes pulling cable trough the wall much easier and faster.

Very nice.
Very nice possibly a bit expensive but then again they did all the research and development and tooling costs and does include a nice case.Case does allow a bit of magnetic field though it's walls. So watch your CC around it. A metal case version is available at a much higher cost that will reduce the magnetic fields much better. Your judgement on if thats worth it.Case could use a 1 1/8 spade bit socket if I were to be nit picky. Which is the size of hole they suggest for pulling the bullet back out of the wall though.Case could also use better retention for the bullet cable. Mine spring launches out when opening. Again nit picky considering they did not have to include a case in the first place.Cost is a bit high. But they did do all the research, testing, development, tooling, and a case. So consider that. Maybe the cost will drop once their initial costs are paid off. Anyways just get it. There is nothing comparable and they did invent it and have patient. If you don't like that then invent something better.

Great Product - Saved Me Thousands
I bought this item thinking "How good could it be", but it is better than I thought possible. I wanted to run Ethernet cable through my three story house, my home was built in 1925 so the walls are made of plaster, not sheetrock. I contacted three vendors and all of them told me it was impossible to run Ethernet cables through the walls since I have plaster walls. I got quotes for the work ranging from $1,800 to $4,500.After seeing the quotes I decided to give this product a try and it worked wonders. I was able to run Ethernet cable from the basement to my attic without much difficulty. It took me about 5-6 hours but it was well worth the time. This product made finding the cables and then cutting the holes in the wall to pull through effortless. The worst problem I had was that it got stuck on a nail going down one wall, I pulled it and went fishing again. This item worked like a charm and exceeded my expectations. Due the ease in which I can now run wires through my wall, I went ahead and installed a video camera system outside my house and it took me less than a day.I highly recommend this item! The magnet and pulling chain are so strong once they connect that the pulley handle will hold itself on the wall. Watch this youtube video to see it in action: [...]

Works as advertised
You're most likely a techie, or installer reading this so I'm not going to wax poetic, instead I'll just jump right into it.The product largely works as advertised, which is a good thing. The magnetic bond between the leader drop magnet and the magnetic roller is very, very strong. Strong enough in fact, to pull the leader magnet THROUGH insulation, which I did on accident once. The downside to having this strong of a magnet is it grabs onto EVERYTHING, pliers, screw drivers you name it. Do I blame the manufacturer, heck no, that's what a magnet is supposed to do, but at times in can be annoying. In addition, you need to be very conscience of false positives when sweeping for the leader magnet. The roller magnet is so strong it can attach to other miscellaneous pieces of metal within the wall. Again, not a flaw in design but something the operator should be aware of.The only critique I have of the product is it does gang busters when attempting to pull a cable vertically or horizontally between joists. However, due to the bulk of the roller magnet sometimes it's basically worthless if you're trying to "coax" the leader magnet through tight spaces. When this happens, it would have been nice to have another leader magnet of some type, to reach in, or attach to some PVC to get that line pulled through.Other than that, it's a great product, saves a lot of time and actually makes pulling through walls the easiest part of the job.The Magnapull company put up a whole series of videos, which are incredibly informative on specific cases and relevant techniques. Well worth the the time to watch.

Time saver deluxe
Not only did it help me pull the cable down the wall through insulation. But it helped me find where I wanted to run my cable from the attic. I put the magnet in the ceiling in the attic next to where I thought I wanted to be coming down the wall. Took a few seconds to find it below. Move it over to where I thought I'd really like my hole would be to work for what I wanted. Went back up drilled my hole attached my cable pulled it down the wall. Stopped short of where I wanted my hole below. Got out my oscillating saw with electrical box outlet bit and cut my hole. Pulled magnet roller down and out came my cable. I'd say it saved me a good hour today. And many hours to come. A must have for your tool kit. If you run a wiring. I install surveillance cameras. I should had this tool a long time ago.
