Review: Fantastic system - I purchased the MIXC irrigation system so i didn't have to rely on anybody to water our ever increasing array of pots and Hanging basket while we go on holiday. I've had to laugh at one review that its not suitable for installation by "Middle Class" people with soft hands as the connectors are quite fiddly. I'm not middle class neither am I manual labourer but I had no trouble fitting the system together, a jug of boiled water works wonders on this pipe to soften. Perhaps Middle class people don't read the instructions... ## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will this work attached to a water butt?**
A: We use ours from an outside tap with a timer. I would have thought that a water butt being at a height for gravity to force the water through the system would work until the water butt was empty or the pressure was not sufficient enough to force the water through the system.

**Q: I have a tall pot (50cm tall). Will the water in the pipe climb to the top of the pot if the rest of the pipes are at ground level?**
A: If you've got reasonable water pressure and only got half a dozen spray heads or so plumbed in, then it will be fine as long as its near the beginning of the run. If it's the last nozzle in the run it might struggle.

**Q: Can we buy extra pipe easily?**
A: I haven't procured any additional piping myself, but it looks, via a quick search, you can. Search for 1/4" or 6mm micro irrigation pipe. The kit refers to 1/4" and I have done a quick calculation into MM which is a bout 6mm, but please check. There appears to be plenty out there. If you are looking for the larger bore pipe, I actually used an old  normal garden hose  to extend the backbone, that works well.  Hope that helps.

Application: potted flowers and vegtables in pots and troughs. A very good election of drip feeders with firm fit. However, recommend firstly, softening tube in hot water and have a good grip, use a small washing flannel for grip. Generous lengths of tubing, but Plan before you start installing; plan as you install and problems will arise. Advised to use the 8 hole dripper as a preference to minster as ministers in some instances minsters can encourage mould. This, meant a further purchase of 8 hole drippers. The outcome to date is as planned. Plan, ensure all tubing connection are pushed on fully and you should not be disappointed with the produc. A Rainpoint Timer, 2 Zone is used with the equipment supplied in the Kit.
