Get a two pole version for less money
The media could not be loaded. We go to the Texas Gulf Coast all the time and normally we buy the metal pop-up tents you get from academy that usually end up breaking because a gust wind takes it up and the metal is broke. The Texas coast can be pretty windy sometimes easily in the 20mph range. We got this sunshade because we thought it'd be worth a try and even if a crazy gust of wind would take it down at least it wouldn't be broke. Here is the verdict: The four pole one is useless in the wind and it's only 6mph here today. The polls won't stay upright The sun shades moving all over the place and it's saging in the middle where anyone underneath it would have their head hit all the time and You can feel the sun underneath it which means you're getting sun, so it's not going to offer you 100% UV protection on a really bright constantly sunny day... We set it up with just the two poles and it's much much better The wind comes in it and keeps it up and airy The polls don't go crazy much better if this was a two pole one that I had bought I'd probably give it 3-4 stars because it's still not perfect but in many applications (if you don't mind messing with it) it'll work better then the type from academy and for the windy Texas coast I don't think a product can exist that would be five stars, Maybe, hopefully I find it lol. Long story short I think it's a keeper but I'm going to return this version for the two pole ones that cost a lot less money because there's no point in having a four pole sunshade in the wind And I'm okay with a little uv rays coming through since I keep my sunscreen on anyway....And I like the fact that it's not going to break on me and much more compact and will store much easier

Works great on the beach and in the park with stakes!
Got this on a whim before a big beach weekend and I'm incredibly glad I did.PROS: Super compact. It's about the size of a small tent when it's folded up. When it's time to bust it out and set it up, it takes about 5-6mins. I had a friend helping me at the beach, but when I set it up in the park a few weeks later, I did it myself in about 7-8mins. The point is: It's easy to set up.Once it's up, it's a game-changer. It created a ton of shade for 6 of us at the beach and just kinda waved in the wind whenever a gust came by....fill the sandbags all the way up and this thing won't budge. You'll have to mess around with placement of the poles and bags, but once it's all good, you'll know. When it was time to go, I packed it down within 3 minutes or so. Oh yeah, the bungees. BUNGEE THE POLES AFTER SETTING IT UP. This basically fortifies your shadefort and ensures the only thing you'll be thinking about is what kind of drink to pour next. It's also KINDA waterproof. When I was at the park, it started to drizzle. It probably lightly rained for aout two hours on and off and we were just fine under it. However, once I had to take it down, it was pretty dang wet...which was not ideal (but hey, this isn't really meant for rain...remember that).CONS: A bit slow to dry in the rain that this isn't meant for. So far, I've used it 4 times (three at the beach and once in the park). And so far, I've got nothin' negative to say. Heck, if this baby lasts a year it was worth the investment.Would I buy it again? Absolutely. It'll change the way you enjoy the beach (read: you'll stay at the beach for, like, 7 hours rather than 3 or 4).

Stop Looking and Buy It - Beach-goers Will Look in Envy
I was looking for lightweight and functional beach equipment for our growing family. I saw other styles, but I really liked this one as it was all-in-one and super compact. It's about the size of two loaves of bread and when we arrived at the beach each day during our week in Brigantine, NJ, our fellow beach-mates would look in envy as we set up our beach site. We would lay the fabric out, fill the corners with sand, mound some sand around the corners, pop together with the poles, and up it goes. Meanwhile, we would see others struggle with their normal tailgating tents, which take an ideal 4 people to put up, this one takes 1 person. We had it up high winds where no one could have their umbrellas or pop-up canopies out - this thing was well thought out. We also configured it differently depending on the day and position of the sun - something you can't do with most other canopies! Just get it!

Lightweight, flexible, easy up and easy down
The PETNOZ Beach Tent Canopy (PBTC) works very well. It’s lightweight and thus easy to carry to the beach. It’s simple and quick to set up and take down. It’s flexible and one can adjust to wind conditions.A few people noted that the PBTC does not perform well in the wind. Our experience demonstrates the exact opposite. It’s great in the wind. All we did was make the windward side top margin quite small, and all was well. The flexible nature of the product allows the user to adjust the canopy and the poles into an infinite number of positions. In addition, using only two poles instead of one, the PBTC can function as a windbreak and a sunshade at the same time. The poles are a tad flimsy in construction. That would be my only concern. They collapse like tent poles and have an elastic tension band inside which keeps them together.

Even if it’s a little tricky to set up, you can’t go wrong with its portability and large shade.
We didn’t set this up on sand, but dirt. It worked well after filling the bags, although it still required the anchors just to be safe. The windy day made us readjust the poles a couple times. You really have to stretch it out when laying down first. You might feel it’s too much stretch, but it’s required. Otherwise, it provided great shade and was so light and packable.
